Awkward Moments

My eye sight and my listening is good Alhamdulillah but when people try to show me something far away like, "look,behind that tree the green gate.." something like this,i am completely unable to find the objects.Also,when people talk too long on phone,i am unable to get them after 10 minutes but i found a really nice solution for this problem.When people show me things far away,im like,"yeah,thats good really" :p :hiding:

So,it happened when a college fellow who was a college van fellow as well,tried to show me her school behind the masjid and acting upon my smart solution,i did my yeah yeah thing.When she showed me the school building (which i never seen),she started telling me about her home.I didn't even listen to the full sentence and said,"yeah,i can see your house now,its good really" :statisfie but then i noticed she was staring at me surprisingly :omg: and then she said,"How can you see my house from here,im telling you you'll see it when the van enter inside the lane" :hmm:

And i was like,"Oh ahaha,right" :embarrass
 
When I was 7-8 years old in the mid 90s I was absolutely in love with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, especially the Green Ranger who's secret identity's name was Tommy. I liked him so much that one time in school when the teacher gave us some worksheets to complete I filled the name column with "Hulk bin Tommy"

(i didnt actually write hulk, i wrote my real name)

Apparently it shocked my teacher, she called up my mum to talk to her about it. At the time I thought it was cool, but now I realise how silly it was!

A couple of years ago, my Quran teacher came to visit me for the first time at my house. She was outside next to the pool talking with my mom and theres a glass sliding door that seperates the house from the pool. My mom had cleaned it that day so it looked see-through. Well, after getting all dressed up (i wanted to make a nice impression) I began running towards her and didn't know the glass door was closed. I crashed into it and both my mom and my teacher stared at me. I stumbled back and tried to laugh it off and explain what happened but they couldn't hear me since the door was still closed. After noticing I looked like an insane idiot, I turned and made a dramatic exit, but instead tripped on my little brother's toy. Lol at that point I broke down and started crying and it took my mom a long time to calm me down. Until now, whenever I'm near a glass door, I have to stick my hand out and feel for confirmation before moving.

I used to like the Pink Power Ranger, because I thought the girl was cute. :embarrass

Story time:

I was maybe 6 or 7 when I was school clothes shopping with Mom in the mall. She picked out a pair of pants and told me to try them on. Well I had never been clothes shopping before, and didn't know about changing rooms, so I just dropped my shorts and started putting on the pants right there in the store.

A few seconds go by and then I noticed everyone staring at me strangely. I didn't think anything of it and waved to everyone while continuing to put on the pants. ;D

Later of course Mom had to explain to me why everyone was looking at me weird, and then of course I was embarrassed about it (but it was too late then). :embarrass
 
I took free rides in a carrousel without knowing that i needed to pay, being young is soo innocent...;D
although one time they caught me

:haha: Thats so embarassing! The same thing happens to me ALL the time! Some people talk tooooo much and in the middle of the convo I just tune them out lol

Yep, after a while it starts to sound like the adults on Charlie Brown.

That used to really bother me too, when I would watch those cartoons. It used to bother me that the adults never talked right.

Now that I am an adult myself and am ignored by most kids, I understand...
 
Hmm there's also that awkward moment when you're in a silent room filled with people and you're eating something crunchy. I always have to keep it in my mouth until its soggy before daring to chew :hmm:

Oh and since elementary school, I never used a public bathroom unless it was an emergency. Haha ever since that time in 2nd grade when all the class piled outside the door and laughed at every sound I made.
 
When I was in eight grade, I was climbing the stairs to go to my classroom, and at the same time, my teacher was coming down. Suddenly, I noticed my shoe laces were untied. Without any thought, I put my foot up in front of the teacher and began tying them. She paused for a second, gave me a death glare and walked away. I didn't realize my mistake until she had left the area.... Seriously, I was like, why did she stare at me??

I ran smack into a teacher once when I was in high school. I was looking at the clock while walking down the hall, and apparently he wasn't looking either, because we ran right into each other.

Lucky everyone else was in class so nobody saw it. :shade:

We never spoke of it again. :nervous:
 
A couple day ago I was about to miss my bus, so ran so fast that I was huffing and puffing. Once I go to the back door of the bus I realized that there was no bus driver. I saw a empty loner seat in the front of the bus, so I walked quickly to take that seat before someone else grabs it, not realizing that while walking for that seat I stepped on an older white man`s foot, (I felt like I stepped on something but I kept on going :hmm:) so at this point everyone on the bus was starting at me. I was listening to the Quran on my ipod, I didn't hear anything the man was mumbling. I didn`t realize it until I turned to the side to grab my bag and the older man gave me a nasty look, he was still mumbuling and I just smiled not knowing what I did. :statisfie

If you live in Toronto, you have to learn to run for the loner seat!:phew
 
I guess, many of us have this experience.

You were in public place and you saw someone smile at you. You smile too. But suddenly you realize that he/she didn't smile at you but at someone else behind you.
 
There are plenty of awkward moments, but this one, looking back, is probably the most for me. My dad was my idol (and I believe for the rest of my siblings too). We were all having a holiday at the sea side and I must have been around 9 or so then. Whilst swimming the sea suddenly turned choppy and the waves were coming in thick and fast. There was no way to swim in it. Every time I came up for air it would coincide with a wave slamming straight into my opened mouth. After a few times it happened I seriously thought I was going to drown.

I saw my dad nearby and I finally managed to let out a cry for help... I could not believe the look in his eyes when he saw me in a little panic, then I heard him say, 'Stand up!'. I put my foot down and felt the sea floor and stood up only to find that I was in waist deep waters... :embarrass
