Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 8:

And when distress afflicts a man he calls upon his Lord turning to Him frequently; then when He makes him possess a favor from Him, he forgets that for which he called upon Him before, and sets up rivals to Allah that he may cause (men) to stray off from His path. Say: Enjoy yourself in your ungratefulness a little, surely you are of the inmates of the fire.

May Allah swa save us from being ungrateful! Ameen!

Surah Maryam, Verse 9:

He said: So shall it be, your Lord says: It is easy to Me, and indeed I created you before, when you were nothing.

73. Al-Muzzammil (The Enshrouded One, Bundled Up)

Surah: 73 Aya: 6

Transliteration
6. Inna nashi-ata allayli hiya ashaddu wat-an waaqwamu qeelan

Translation

6. Verily, the rising by night is very hard and most potent and good for governing (the soul), and most suitable for the Word (of Allâh).

Good reminder!

The act we find ourselves in or the thoughts our mind is occupied in during the night says a lot about the individual's state of emaan i think.

If you was to buy a book with english translation of the Quraan which one would you buy please?

Reading the ayats are so powerful reminders and i find the words very wise to act upon. Any recommendations anyone?

Surah Taha, Verse 10:

When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire.

Surah Yunus, Verse 11:

And if Allah should hasten the evil to men as they desire the hastening on of good, their doom should certainly have been decreed for them; but We leave those alone who hope not for Our meeting in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

Surah Al-Kahf, Verse 10:

When the youths sought refuge in the cave, they said: Our Lord! grant us mercy from Thee, and provide for us a right course in our affair.

Surah An-Nahl, Verse 1:

Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him).

They said: O our father! surely we went off racing and left Yusuf by our goods, so the wolf devoured him, and you will not believe us though we are truthful.

And how many of the generations did We destroy after Nuh! and your Lord is sufficient as Knowing and Seeing with regard to His servants' faults.

And they ask you to hasten on the evil before the good, and indeed there have been exemplary punishments before them; and most surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness to people, notwithstanding their injustice; and most surely your Lord is severe in requiting (evil).

And those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Follow our path and we will bear your wrongs. And never shall they be the bearers of any of their wrongs; most surely they are liars.

Allah Almighty said in surah Al-Anbiyaa verse 30:

Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

This ayah is a proof of the miraculous status of the Holy Quraan in the field of science. This verse is a challenge to the most modern scientists!

The scientists have made a theory about the creation of the universe called the Big Bang theory. This ayah 30 of surah Al- Anbiyaa was reaveled more than 1400 years ago but it is telling us about the creation of the universe, a statement now given in the Big Bang theory. Also it is telling us that Allah has made every living thing from water which is also a discovery of the modern science. The unbelievers referred to in the above verse also includes the kafir scientists of the present era because it is they who have made the theory and it is they who think that the universe was like a ball which exploded and broke into pieces, the pieces changed into moon, sun stars, planets etc.

Now if some Muslims show this verse to those scientists, it is expected that they will become Muslims seeing that Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم couldn't make such statement from his mind. So it is a manifest proof that Quraan is a Heavenly Book.

Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 25:

And of them is he who hearkens to you, and We have cast veils over their hearts lest they understand it and a heaviness into their ears; and even if they see every sign they will not believe in it; so much so that when they come to you they only dispute with you; those who disbelieve say: This is naught but the stories of the ancients.

Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 19:

And whoever is in the heavens and the earth is His; and those who are with Him are not proud to serve Him, nor do they grow weary.
