battle of good looking and none good looking

i have some questions for sisters and brothers can join 2

there have been lots of topics relating to this but in some way this is deferent
when it comes to getting married every man wants a good looking wife and a the girl wants a good looking husband and afcourse a good muslim please answer but with truth so my question is when getting married what do you look for in a husband please allah made every human in deferent way some good looking and some not good looking but allah gave them defferent gifts or talents the good looking guy would be asking allah if he had that or the none good looking would be asking allah why he made me like this i have seen alot around when some 1 is geting married there parents say i will find a good person tall good looking blah blah blah lol so what about the none good looking guys some are shy some are ugly some loners but they could be the good husband then the good looking one so why still most want to get married to good looking guys out there and the not so good looking remains ohh and in some cultures u cant do anything its the parents who will find a husband for u or a wife the husband can be a not good looking and the wife could be good looking but in 21 century things are a bit defferent so please put some light into this post and comment as much as info as u can .

lol I reply, I look for shyness around non mehram men, personally attractive to me doesn't matter if on the wedding day every 1 says " urgh why's he marrying her for she ain't all that"

as long as she's all that in my eyes I don't mind. you have to understand attraction is relative to each individual, what you may think is ugly I think is beautifull.

what i think is beautifull you may think is ugly, and this is from the blessings of Allah that attraction is relative to an individual.

can you imagine if we all liked the same kind of girl none of us would get married but fortunately we have our own preferences.

she also has to be praticing the deen and it would be good if she ninja kicked me in the head when I didn't get up for fajar lol

Also you mentioned shy and being a loner did you mean shyness in a man to be a bad thing or just something you don't find attractive personally??

shyness is very good brother, I heard a sheikh say once,

"the prophet saw was shy like a virgin girl before she got married" but if you don't find that attractive in a man that's your preference.

Shy people tend to be soft also

Oddly what is considered good looking or not good looking is very much culture dictated. we may not realize it but each of us is "Taught" as to what constitutes beauty or homeliness. A beautiful girl or handsome man can be seen as being very ugly in another culture and vice versa.

To discovr beauty and to be beautiful or handsome ourselves we need to eliminate any stereotypes and strive to be what Allaah(swt) made us to be and develop an inner noor that all can see and that will be what is truly good looking, not what our peers think is good looking.

but i have seen and heard and many places im sure i mentioned this in my post above but still im not realy realy good looking but i will say average but most poeple say ohh i aint good looking blah blah blah blah but i see myself as a good person clean at heart and most good looking poeple i see the dont have what i have and im proud of that but some people dont see that as u mentioned that its the culture indeed it is but it remains to this if every 1 chooses good looking what happens to the not so good looking guys out there or womens but in 21 century every 1 is deferent saying ohh im he or she must be tall or good looking i dont know i see it this way or it is this way?

They get the truly beautiful women who know how to appreciate the genuine good looking men.

I have always been basically quite non-attractive. Yet I never had any problem in finding a wife. My first two wives are long deceased and I am now married for the third time. All 3 of my wives were good looking and very loving, each in their own unique way.

If a homely guy who could not have been born this ugly (I must have been fed ugly pills) has had no problem finding a lovely caring wife, I believe anybody can if they are honest, sincere and caring.

I agree with brother Woodrow. The most beautiful ppl are the ones who are religious and have knowledge of Islam, like scholars of Islam or even true sincere students of Islam, someone who will one day become a scholar of Islam, an imam, a hafiz of Quraan who not only knows Quraan by heart but understands it fully. I think if everyone were like that, the world would be truly beautiful!

HAH some of us have given up hope on ever getting married. much better things to do with my time than get insulted and harbor ill feelings towards muslims during "the courting process"

at any rate, take it from a guy that used to date around before i became muslim: the "gorgeous" girls are the ones that give you the most problems. stay away from them like the plague.

the prophet (saw) advised marriage to pious people and that is what we should do.

Honesty, no false promises, integrity and sensitivity towards the feelings of others to name a few things to begin with.

Girls if you want a marriage with a husband who will be the lust object of every girl you know,find a gorgeous handsome husband. If you want a sincere loyal husband who will place Allaah(swt) first and be grateful for finding you, pick a sincere plain looking one.

Of my two deceased wives, the one who looked like a glamor queen (Actually she looked so much like a famous actress people used to stop us and ask her for her autograph) caused me the most pain while the one who resembled a bowling ball (She used to joke and say "I am in shape, round is a shape") brought me much happiness and 25+ years of laughter and good healthy fun times.

Don't get me wrong I loved both of them deeply. Just as I love Aabidah deeply each is or has been a blessing for me and exactly who I needed in my life at the correct times I needed them.
