Please post here anything which you believe will strongly re-affirm someones faith in islam and make them believe that little bit more in Allah swt and his declerations.

Hadith Qudsi 34:

On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) say: Allah the Almighty said:

O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it.

It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound.​

Allah the Almighty said:

I am as My servant thinks I am (1). I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assemble better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.

(1) Another possible rendering of the Arabic is: "I am as My servant expects Me to be". The meaning is that forgiveness and acceptance of repentance by the Almighty is subject to His servant truly believing that He is forgiving and merciful. However, not to accompany such belief with right action would be to mock the Almighty.

The Truth of Islam​

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

Truth stands out clear from Error... The feelings in our heart is something noone can explain. The love, the pain, the fear, the pleasure. All miracles of Allah, All beyond science is religion is far beyond science! Allah is uncomparable to anything in this dunya!

Say: "Allah speaketh the Truth: follow the religion of Abraham, the sane in faith; he was not of the Pagans."

"'Be ye not arrogant against me, but come to me in submission (to the true Religion).'"

Sahih Bukhari

Volume 2, Book 18, Number 168:
Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba :

On the day of Ibrahim's death, the sun eclipsed and the people said that the eclipse was due to the death of Ibrahim (the son of the Prophet). Allah's Apostle said, "The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of someone's death or life. So when you see them, invoke Allah and pray till the eclipse is clear."

Sahih Muslim

Volume 9, Book 92, Number 400:
Narrated Ibn Masud:

I was with the Prophet at one of the farms of Medina while he was leaning on a date palm leaf-stalk. He passed by a group of Jews and some of them said to the other, Ask him (the Prophet) about the spirit. Some others said, "Do not ask him, lest he should tell you what you dislike" But they went up to him and said, "O Abal Qasim! Inform us bout the spirit." The Prophet stood up for a while, waiting. I realized that he was being Divinely Inspired, so I kept away from him till the inspiration was over. Then the Prophet said, "(O Muhammad) they ask you regarding the spirit, Say: The spirit its knowledge is with my Lord (i.e., nobody has its knowledge except Allah)" (17.85) (This is a miracle of the Qur'an that all the scientists up till now do not know about the spirit, i.e, how life comes to a body and how it goes away at its death)

Signs in Animals​

Birds


"Do they not see the birds suspended in mid-air up in the sky? Nothing holds them there except Allah. There are certainly Signs in that for people who have faith." (Surat an-Nahl: 79)

Solar System

Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

(Al-Anbiya Verse 30)

The earth rotates on its axis at one thousand miles an hour; if it turned at one hundred miles an hour, our days and nights would be ten times as long as now, and the hot sun would then burn up our vegetation during each long day, while in the long night any surviving sprout would freeze.

Again, the sun, source of our life, has a surface temperature of 12,000 degrees Fahrenheit, and our earth is, just far enough away so that this 'eternal fire" warms us just enough and not too much! If the sun gave off only one-half its present radiation, we would freeze, and if it gave half as much more, we would roast.

The slant of the earth, tilted at an angle of 23 degrees, gives us our seasons; if it had not been so tilted, vapours from the ocean would move north and south, piling up for us continents of ice. If our moon was, say, only 50 thousand miles away instead of its actual distance, our tides would be so enormous that twice a day all continents would be submerged; even the mountains would soon be eroded away.

If the crust of the earth had been only ten feet thicker, there would be no oxygen without which animal life must die. Had the ocean been a few feet deeper, carbon dioxide and oxygen would have been absorbed and no vegetable life could exist. Or if our atmosphere had been thinner, some of the meteors, now burned in space by the million every day would be striking all parts of the earth, starting fires everywhere.

Because of these, and host of other examples, there is not one chance in millions that life on our planet is an accident.

Rotation of the sun and moon​

“It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: All (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.”
[Al-Qur’an 21:33]

The Arabic word used in the above verse is yasbahoon . This word is derived from the word sabaha. It carries with it the idea of motion that comes from any moving body. If you use this word for a person on the ground, it would not mean that he is rolling but would imply that he is walking or running. If you use this word for a person in water, it would not mean that he is floating but would imply that he is swimming.

This ofcourse refers to the recent discovery that the sun rotates stated in the Quran 1427 (i think) years ago.

“It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).”
[Al-Qur’an 36:40]

This verse mentions an essential fact discovered only recently by modern astronomy, i.e. the existence of the individual orbits of the Sun and the Moon, and their journey through space with their own motion. The ‘fixed place’ towards which the sun travels, carrying with it the solar system, has been located preirsely by modern astronomy. It has been given a name, the Solar Apex. The solar system is indeed moving in space towards a point situated in the constellation of Hercules (alpha Lyrae) whose exact location is now firmly established.

Why do I believe? Because it is the only sensible scenario I can think of concerning the origin of the Quran. If it is (by some procedure) a copy of the Bible, a strange copy it is, free from the theological inconsistency of the original as well as many of the common views of the time. And, the intellectual sharpness I've encountered while reading it is simply unthinkable to have come from the random visions that a crazed mind would produce.

Wisdom In Islam encompasses in its radiant words the true goals that all of us must strive for. Its bounty of mercy, forgiveness and guidance is stunning in its clarity. Imagine using this wonderful guidance on a regular basis? It is important to endeavor to practice and then to invite others to practice these beautiful words of wisdom.

A Bedouin came one day to the Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and said to him, "O, Messenger of Allah! I've come to ask you a few questions about the affairs of this life and the Hereafter."

Ask what you wish.

I'd like to be the most learned of men.
Fear Allah, and you will be the most learned of men.

I wish to be the richest man in the world.
Be contented, and you will be the richest man in the world.

I'd like to be the most just of men.
Desire for others what you desire for yourself, and you will be the most just of men.

I want to be the best of men.
Do good to others and you will be the best of men.

I wish to be the most favored by Allah.
Engage much in Allah's praise, and you will be most favored by Him.

I'd like to complete my faith.
If you have good manners you will complete your faith.

I wish to be among those who do good.
Adore Allah as if you see Him. If you don't see Him, He sees you. In this way you will be among those who do good.

I wish to be obedient to Allah.
If you observe Allah's commands you will be obedient.

I'd like to be free from all sins.
Bathe yourself from impurities and you will be free from all sins.

I'd like to be raised on the Day of Judgment in the light.
Don't wrong yourself or any other creature, and you will be raised on the Day of Judgment in the light.

I'd like Allah to bestow His mercy on me.
If you have mercy on yourself and on others, Allah will grant you mercy on the Day of Judgment.

I'd like my sins to be very few.
If you seek the forgiveness of Allah as much as you can; your sins will be very few.

I'd like to be the most honorable man.
If you do not complain to any fellow creature, you will be the most honorable of men.

I'd like to be the strongest of men.
If you put your trust in Allah, you be the strongest of men.

I'd like to enlarge my provision.
If you keep yourself pure, Allah will enlarge your provision.

I'd like to be loved by Allah and His messenger.
If you love what Allah and His messenger love you will be among their beloved ones.

Du'aa

The first of all deeds is du'aa - supplication. Due to our absorption in today's worldly life it is very important that before we perform any deed for Allaah we clear our minds of such preoccupations and direct our attention to Him. There are two kinds of du'aa: Du'aa of request for help in this life and the hereafter and du'aa of worship in which you are actually praising Allaah. We should, before setting forth to do any deed, ask Allaah to allow us to perform the deed and allow us to perform it well. A man asked the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam -- to teach him a supplication that would embody all supplications. He told him to make the following duaa:

“Allahumma a'anee'alaa dhikrika wa shukrikah wa husnibaadatik.” (“Oh Allah, Help me to remember You often, and to thank You often, and to perfect my worship of You.”) (Abu Daud and Nasai)
