“A human being is tested so that he may come to know the reality of himself and others. Life is consists of constant testing; testing with what is bad, or testing with what is good. However, what is best for the believer may be found in what he hates, and what is bad for him may be found in what he likes. The true believer is the one who loves that which Allah has chosen for him. So, if He tests him with something that he loves, he thanks Him, and if He tests him with that which he hates, he is patient and thanks Him in this case, as well. And Allah – the Glorified – gives the believer in accordance with what will lead to his happiness in either this World or the next. So, if it is better for him to have something, Allah gives it to him. If it is better for him not to have something, Allah prevents him from having that thing, just as one who is sick is prevented from too much food or water. Therefore, it is upon a person to completely submit to Allah – the Glorified – in regards to what He has chosen for him, and to be pleased with what Allah has given him, and to understand that if Allah prevents him from something, then it is because Allah wishes to save him from being tested with that thing.”

From Idris Alayhi Salam:

"Happy is he who looks at his own deeds and appoints them as pleaders to his Lord."

"None can show better gratitude for Allah's favours than he who shares them with others."

"Do not envy people for what they have, as they will only enjoy it for a short while."

"He who indulges in excess will benefit from it."

"The real joy of life is to have wisdom."

Beautiful sayings worth remembering.....

Jazakallah khair!

Aasiyah, the wife of Fir’own.
Her eman in Allah thrived under the shadow of someone who said, “I am your Lord, Most High!” When news reached Fir’own of his wife’s eman, he beat her and commanded his guards to beat her. They took her out in the scalding noon heat, tied her hands and feet, and beat her perpetually. Who did she turn to? She turned to Allah! She prayed, “My Lord, build for me a home with you in Paradise, save me from Fir’own and his deeds, and save me from the transgressive people.”

It was narrated that when she said this, the sky opened for her and she saw her home in Paradise. She smiled. The guards watched astonished – she’s being tortured and she smiles? Frustrated, Fir’own commanded a boulder to be brought and dropped on Aasiyah to crush her to death. But Allah took her soul before the boulder was brought and she became an example for all the believing men and women till the end of time:

وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اِمْرَأَةَ فِرْعَوْنَ إِذْ قَالَتْ رَبِّ ابْنِ لِي عِندَكَ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِي مِن فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِ وَنَجِّنِي مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ

And Allah has set forth an example for those who believe: the wife of Fir’own [Pharaoh] when she said, “My Lord, Build for me a home with You in Paradise, and save me from Fir’own and his deeds, and save me from the transgressive [disbelieving people] (At-Tahreem 66/11).

SubhanAllah I can never get enough of reading about Asiya, she is one amazing woman. imsad

When He gives, He shows you His kindness; when He deprives, He shows you His power. And in all that, He is making Himself known to you and coming to you with His gentleness. -Ibn Ata’Allah

And verily for everything that a slave loses there is a substitute, but the one who loses Allah will never find anything to replace Him.” ~ Ibn al-Qayyim

“As for the weeping of the Prophet (saw) it was in the
same degree as his laughter. He wouldn’t sob loudly and
raise his voice, just like his laughter wasn’t loud.
However his eyes would fill up with tears, until they
flowed out, and you would hear the sound like that of a
whistling kettle coming from his chest. He would weep
out of mercy for the dead, out of fear and compassion
for his ummah, out of deep fear of Allah, upon
listening to the Qur’an. And it was a weeping of longing, love and
exaltation, accompanied by fear and khashyah”.

~Ibn al-Qayyim

If Allah (SWT) brings you to it,
He will bring you through it.
In Happy moments, praise ALLAH (SWT) .
In Difficult moments, seek ALLAH (SWT)
In Quiet moments, worship ALLAH (SWT)
In Painful moments, trust ALLAH (SWT)
In Every moment, thank ALLAH (SWT)

• Knowledge and practice are twins, and both go together. There is no knowledge without practice, and no practice without knowledge.

• A wise man is he who does not despair of the bounty and mercy of God.

• He who is aware of his own faults is oblivious of the faults of others.

Some sayings of Umar(Ra) the conqueror of Persia and Rome, the Noble Companion of Muhammad (saws):
