To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, yet He asks a loan from you (i.e. giving charity), but you are stingy.
He created the Seven Seas, but He loved a tear from you (out of fear from him), but your eyes were tearless.

Hadith - Reported by at-Tirmidhi (9/183,184) in az-Zuhd, Ahmad (2/310), Ibn Maajah (4217) in az-Zuhd with this meaning - Al-Albaani says it is Hasan.
The Messenger of Allah [sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam] said,
"Abstain from the forbidden and you will be the most devout worshippers amongst the people.
Be content with what Allah allocates for you from provision and you will be the richest of people.
Be good to your neighbor and you will be a believer.
Love for the people what you love for yourself and you will be a Muslim,
and do not increase in laughter because too much laughter kills the heart. “

Greetings and peace be with you all, a troubling prayer....
May God bless us with discomfort at easy answers, half truths, superficial relationships, so that we may live deep within our hearts.
May God bless us with anger at injustice, oppression and exploitation of people so that we may work for justice, equality and peace.
May God bless us with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation and war, so that we may reach out our hand to comfort them and change their pain into joy.
And may God bless us with enough foolishness to believe that we can make a difference in the world, so that we can do what others claim cannot be done, to bring justice and kindness to all.
