I am so shy that I can't even go outside without anyone by my side.I can't even walk to the corner store that's right across the street from where I live or go the supermarket.I know that being shy is a good thing,but being too shy is a problem.And yes,being too shy prevented people from going to College or having a job!:scared:
 
Being shy myself although you can't tell on the forum from my pugilistic tendencies which I have in real life too I have recently found a book entitled how introverts rule the world .. I think I am going to get it in shaa Allah might teach us something about channeling that shyness to our advantage perhaps with select few word phrases and cognitive behavioral therapy I don't know but maybe you can purchase it too or something similar and discuss whether it helps in shaa Allah..
 
if you was a boy I would say your too shy

I mean, shyness is a good thing but youshould not be so shy that it hinders you to do important things. Being an introvert has nothing to do with being shy, I and many other people I know who are introverts are not too shy. A little shyness is a good thing though. Trust in Allah and go to the supermarket if needed.
 
I think you suffer from social anxiety. Your shyness is preventing you to live what is considered to be a normal life. If you cannot do simple things like going to a shop without getting extremely shy to the extent where you avoid it, then it's highly likely you suffer from social anxiety.

I bite shy people. In fact, I make curry out of them and feed them to the poor for iftar during Ramadan!

Kidding :) (well only my lil nephews and cousins).

Shyness is a part of iman, so Allah has blessed you with something good.

Look for a small group of friends for yourself to go out with to the local park for like 30 minutes or so. These'll be your buddies and one's who you probably won't feel so shy being with. Go to Islamic gatherings with them and at righteous places but wherever you are, be yourself. Those whose hearts are close to Allah will love having you as their friend. This'll help you get used to being around other people.

Right now being a shy person, you're probably thinking all the time about becoming the most popular person. It's not really about that when you socialise, it's about being yourself and having a good time. Don't let your insecurities make you feel as though you are inferior to others. Allah has put you in this world because the world needs someone like you.

Relax. Be yourself. And get out there.

im not that shy that it stops me from doing things bout mine is pretty bad for some reason i get super nervous when im speaking to people when im calling on the phone..and i get muddled and say the wrong things..i dont have any friends outside of work..like i get along with at work bout i dont hang out wit them as there not really islamic friendship if you get me most them dont believe in Allah..so i find it hard to make friends as im super shy..but when u get to know me kinda moan and chat alot but at the beginning its hard..like i go to group for new muslims but i havent really made any friends. I always make duas asking Allah to take away my nervousness and my shyness away :p
 
I am actually shy on the forums and very loud in real life. So i may not know how exactly what you're feeling though i find it strange to have such shyness that you have. Maybe thats because i dont have any friends who are shy.

But hey! I mean its good to be shy, it's a blessing from Allah. Just don't let it affect your daily life too much. Mix around the right people and have fun (:
 
Thank you for understanding!I mean,I barely have friends and I feel as if my life's not normal.....and the worst part is that I blush when I'm really nervous:nervous: and shy(even if I don't like the person)
