Oh man! I really want to learn Bengali but my hubby wont teach me :grumbling . I think its because he doesn't want me to understand what he is saying when he i smoaning about me :rollseyes. I know this is going to sound stupid but i didn't even know there were different dialects.....so much for a Bengali husband ;D
 
Oh yeah and my hubby is from Chittagong so do you know what dialect they speak there? (sorry if this is a dumb question)

How are you?- balla assoh ni?

How was your day?-Thumar din killan gesseh?

Do you want your dinner?-Thumi ekhon khaylithai ni?


Not very good with The chittagong version....i'll ask my dad....

But he shud understand slightly....

lots of ppl from chittagong speak ma dialect but im not so sure...
