JASHNE AAMADE RASOOL - Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
[ translated from Urdu ]

Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
The flower of Lady Aminah

When the master was about to come
The maidens and boy servants of Paradise began to rejoice

The light spread everywhere
With the coming of the Chosen One came life to us all

O Halima in your lap has arrived
The Messenger of both worlds

Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
The flower of Lady Aminah

Some would praise his face
Some would praise his locks of hair

Seeing this, Aminah began smiling
Eve and Mary too began rejoicing

Lady Aminah began saying to everybody
The prayer has been accepted

Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
The flower of Lady Aminah

Festive music was sounded
Songs of happiness were heard by all

Everywhere shouts of 'peace on him'
Today the Beloved of God has been born

Thereafter Gabriel announced
This truly is the Messenger of God

Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
The flower of Lady Aminah

Salaam to all

i wanted to ask something: i am 8 months pregnant. Sometimes ago, my mother-in-law (who is no more) bought a flower while going to Hajj. They said the flower is called: the flower of Bibi Amina. It says that it helps woman while delivery. I don't know if it's true but i wanted to ask anyone of you, if they know about this flower. The flower is dried. My husband told me that we have to put it in the water and the day i'll deliver, it will open by itself. My mother, who heard about this flower too, told me to put it in the water when i start to feel labor pain.

Please help me because i don't want to do something wrong concerning religion.

Thanks a lot

Salaam

:sl:

I am really not fond of this "naat"/nasheed.

It has the recurring phrase "Allah hi Allah" (meaning, Allah only Allah) interspersed between the above verses in sometimes very inappropriate places.

People will sing anything to make a rhyme, in this case in the Urdu it says "Bibi Aminah ke phool, Allah hi Allah", then later, "do jahaano ke rasool, Allah hi Allah", which translates as, "The Messenger of both worlds, Allah only Allah."

This arrangement of words, although it might not have been intended that way, implies that Rasoolullah :saws: was Allah, or vice versa.

Then it says Hawwa Maryam bhi khushian manane lageen.."Hawwa and Maryam began to rejoice". To say something about Hawwa and Maryam (peace be upon them both), we need evidence from the ahadeeth. We cannot say they rejoiced if there is no evidence to prove it.

We need to be sensible in what we say in praise of the prophet :saws:, and not just sing any old thing to make a rhyme. Our love for the Prophet :saws: should be demonstrated firstly and foremostly by following his teachings, and not by singing nonsensical statements or made up facts.
