I no longer use any blogs. For free web sites I'm partial to proboards. Although in the free version you do get a pesty banner ad. the paid version isn't very expensive but outside of removing the banner ad you don't gain much.

If you really want a website i think you should pay for it, there are few free ones but i don't know of any free ones without ads, it costs the companies to run the site, how are they going to pay for your site if they don't put ads on your site its a source of income for them.

i have used www.weebly.com it doesnt contain any ads.....

Any site like that with better features... ?
