British Secular Islam
Keep your religion to yourself
That's what the Secularists say
Just fast and pray
And let everyone else do as they please
It's none of your business
All this fitna and sin
Focus on yourself
Self perfection
And accountability
Allah is the one who guides
not you
So why bother
Are we not Muslims?
Who pray and fast in Ramadhan too
Evil
What are you talking about?
Are you perfect?
Or just like us
So please don't make a fuss
Dawah
Only for the prophets and pious
Sinless and spotless
Besides you're not qualified
And used to be bad like us too
So why don't you come and join us
And dance the night away
We're not asking you to apostacise
Just chill and have some fun
Then run to jummah
And repent
like we do
Oh!
Are we giving dawah
Calling to sin and wickedness
Surely not
We're just saying
Praying is for later
Now is for living
Allah is merciful
Allah is kind
You show no mercy as you condemn
And upset
As you play on our conscience
And make us feel guilty and ashamed
So leave us
Allah will guide us
So much temptation
And desirable people
You only live once
So we have to enjoy as much as possible
We'll turn religious
And face the Qibla
When we hit fifty
And no longer shifty
On the dance floor
We also realise and acknowledge
that the angel of death
Can come anytime
That's why
We live in fear
And keep Islamic talismans close by
And find comfort in like minded buddies
With whom
We gamble with our precious souls
Every time we engage in haram
