Re: Bullying

salaam,

all this talk of shot guns has made me curious as to what you'd really do in a REAL situation of bullying! :? :rollseyes :okay: lol

i'd just try and resolve it using words (and not swear words before anyone gets the wrong idea) lol. and its best not to aggravate situations whilst still looking in control.

mashAllah i havent been bullied before....only by my sister ;D shes always eating my food! :'( :sister:

wassalam

I outsmart them with my wicked verbal wit.

Then I run.

Re: Bullying

salaam,

if you outsmart them bro, then why run?? :? :) ^^^

wassalam
Because they're usually fricken' HUGE and getting confused makes them angry.

To quote Napoleon Dynamite: 'What the heck would YOU do in a situation like that?'

:p

Re: Bullying

Re: Bullying

:sl:

The movie has NO MEANING WHATSOEVER;D

BUT it's really funny. There's a scene where someone chucks something on his face and he get's knocked over from his bike :giggling:

It ain't about bullying btw

Re: Bullying

the last time i've been bullied was in 6th grade..

in 5th grade, when i was bullied i got into a fight.. got in trouble.

in 6th grade, i wasnt pissed enough to get into a fight

from 7th grade, alhamdulillah, i didnt see any more losers that like to bully around

now, if i get bullied:
- insulted and stuff, then ignore...
- pushed, talk to him in a not angry way and ask whats his problem
- attacked, thats it.. i dont care how big he will be, i'll fight back with whatever it takes even if it means me getting hurt (no, im not suggesting u to do that. i would suggest u to report them although i might not)

Re: Bullying

^way to go bro!

though i've never been bullied, ever... prolly cuz basically the only place i go to is skool... n its all girls, n not a single one of them is mean alhumduliAllah :)

Re: Bullying

:sl: dont keep it to your self talk to your teacher i made the mistake of not telling my family about what was going on and the presser built up it was a long time age but i still wish i told some one back then:w:

Re: Bullying

yea but some people are afraid to tell some one

take care

Re: Bullying

well...up to grade 7 i was known as the runt of all my classes. I got bullied a few times before that cuz of my size. I usually resorted to fighting them...and sadly ended up losing :(

however at the start of grade 8, i began to lift weights. After that i never got bullied again. By the time I graduated from highschool, i was seen as the muscle-man of the school. THe guys who bullied me when I was younger either never talked to me again...or actually became FRIENDS with me! It was nice.

:w:

Re: Bullying

what losers!

yea its hard to get tough with them when they r trying to be cool with u but u shoulda reminded them of what they used to do

i didnt need to remind them. People change. So did they. Cuz if they hadnt changed.....than trouble would of started :P, but like myself they grew for the better as the years passed.

how I can respond to those who disrespect muslims

Since i live in Lebanon where there are a lot of christians,I sometimes hear my classmates saying things abou the prophet PBUH that are not true,I wouldn't say i'm the most devout muslim in my class or elsewhere but in my class I'm the one who knows most about the prophet PBUH and the history of islam. So i try to explain to them what Islam is all about but it doesn't affect them at all, partially it's because of the way they were raised. They hate islam and i know it (not all of 'em some of my best friends are christians) and they say bad things about it behind our backs but I can still hear them whispering sometimes.I try to control myself and try to talk some some sense into them but I am short-tempered and sometimes i feel so provoqued that i wanna yell and scream at them.but it's wrong doing that. What can i do?

Re: how I can respond to those who disrespect muslims

If your classmates are not directly insulting you, then perhaps you should ignore them. There are a lot of unkind people in the world. The trick is learning how to deal with your reaction to these people, not concentrating on the actions of other people.

Re: how I can respond to those who disrespect muslims

Sister:)
Unfortunately, it seems the entire world at times is against Islam. If you lose your patience, no matter what you say - they wont listen.
I suggest that you must not say anything when they are talking.
Later on, you can ask them about what they think about "such and such" (the things they were saying before). Ask them what they truly think first. Ask them if they have evidence to base their words on. Then maybe you can clear up the misconcpetion they have, kindly. Say, "Oh, i know lots of people say this, but in my opinion...."

Remember to personally be a good role model and try your best to follow the noble example of the Prophet saw. Never lose your composure. If they start attacking, stay calm, and say, "Look, i can see you might not be open to what we think right now, so thats ok. Next time maybe." If they ask you something and you cant answer coz you dont know how, say "Look, i dont know right now, but i will find out for you and tell you soon inshallah." Then find out - and tell them.

I hope that helps a bit. Salam :)
