I, myself, do calligraphy and wanted to have a section to post calligraphy art, calligraphy learning material, etc.

I will post my own artwork soon, inshallah.

Urging others to also post and share the art !!

Very interesting... actually youtube is a god resource to learn calligraphy... but it lacks the help and aid you get from an actual human instructor. There is a series on Khat alNaskh on youtube which i have watched many times. And then i took print outs of the fonts on paper and kept writing, re-writing, re-re-writing on them (like a child) to make myself learn the art.

The whole process for me was very rewarding.. now my handwriting is so much better than it used to be.

I would like to start with some woodcarved calligraphy.. i haven't made the design for this - i carved the design in wood.

Going to start posting different calligraphy forms of "Bismillah.." - these piece of calligraphy are NOT designed by me. I am a big enthusiast of the art and am trying to collect as much as i can under this thread -
