These are mostly old, but as new as possible. I will be going back to the gym when school starts (2 weeks), and my goal for the end of the school year is:

Bench Press: 300 max
Leg Press: 450 max
Dumbell Curl Up: 50, 5 reps
Barbell Deadlift: 200, 10 reps

What are yours? Here are some other stats:

Heavy Bag: 5 minutes, no intermissions

well i have been hitting the gym (bulking) for the past 6 months now, and i am new to this, and havent weight lifted before, just played soccer etc, so manily with stamina and fitness, not strength building weightlifting.

so my stats from 6 months (which includes some bad off form eating and working periods due to travel and 1 week sickness):

chest: dumbell bench press, 34 kilos, sitting fly machine, 52 kilos, decline press: 40 kilos

bicep: dumbell curl, 18 kilos, barbell curl, 25 kilos,

shoulder: front raise dumbell, 16 kilos, shoulder press machine 40 kilos.

goals by end of year:

get stronger and bigger, begin cutting phase by february-end of summer.

I'm not going to, too many sisters :/
heh, joking,,,I stopped doing them, will go back in a few weeks, tell you then

babies count though, I was carrying my younger sister the other day, and man she was heavy..

on the other hand : "2 minutes, Sit-Ups: 100" do push ups instead, much more of a workout, shouldn't take more than 6-8 weeks max to get to 100 in one go if you do it properly. 2 minutes might not be too ideal though

Ah I don't do weight lifting.

I just do jogging, skipping and boxing... : /

Before I go to sleep I do 20 minutes of push up if that counts as anything...lol

I don't exercise everyday. I'm lazy. I find running up and down the stairs more fun. : )

dont really max out but going off my last number and extrapolating out:

bench press: 190 x15 = somewhere around a max of 270 lbs
don't do pushups
don't do curlups, cruches, or any ab work
shoulder press: 65lb dumbbells x 10 no idea what the max is here
dumbbell butterflies: 75lb dumbbells x 10 on flat, 70 lb for incline
havent deadlifted in a long time but when i stopped i was around 350lbs x 6
leg press is 680lbs by 6
i dont really curl either as i get tendonitis in my forearms. when i do, i keep it light, around 45 lb dumbbells by 10 reps or 85 lbs barbell by 10

my cardio consists of walking on a 15% incline at 4mph for like 45 minutes
i going to start wearing a backpack with 50lbs on it to make it more difficult

I do agree, guys can get competitive. :skeleton: :exhausted

Competition is a great part of life. A friend and I are starting Ab competitions when school starts. Who can do the plank the longest, Who can do the most sit-ups in 2 minutes, and Ab Punches, who can take the longest of constant.

is this like a male macho/ego thing? :-\
:hiding:

No, I just like showing stats, cause BB.com is a place of 90% pricks, 10% help. Honestly, I wouldn't advise that website for anything, other then information on the site, the forum is like a place for lions and kittens. I hate it there, the only reason I even go there anymore is cause I have friends who do competitions that put up videos on that site.

The reason I do the 2 minutes is cause the Army measures fitness by that, and I have to be able to do this before I can join up:

2 Mile Run: 13:00
78 Sit-Ups: 2 minutes
71 Push-Ups: 2 minutes

Them are all for making a 100, and I plan on making no less then a 95, that is why I doing the 2 minutes. I have to pass this test, their is no "what if" in this, I will. I know it might not look hard to a lot, but I am out of shape, I spent most of my life, doing strength exercises, never doing more cardio then working on the farm, and that doesn't prepare you for obstacle courses, that is why I am building one in me backyard.

Also, any of you have any good ideas on a obstacle course? I already have some things, but need at least 5 more, maybe 10.

i havent trained properly for about a year now....with studies and nightshift work ive lost about 20 kgs ..i was hitting 85-90 kgs and now im 70

Over the summer I lost a lot too. I can't go to the gym, cause I live in the middle of nowhere, I was hitting my max at 200, now my max is like 175. Stinks.

I couldn't imagine fasting for a month, although it probably wouldn't hurt to try. I have had to fast before, but that wasn't a choice as much as lack of appetite.

Fasting is beautiful you should try it .....your body will be flushed off toxins

Fasting is beautiful you should try it .....your body will be flushed off toxins

You can do that by eating correct food, drinking 2 liters of water, and working your body. That can do it, probably not as much though. I might try to fast, but I am kinda lost.

Don't you fast during sunlight, but at night you have a meal?

you start the fast before sunrise and you break the fast on sunset(maghrib)

Bench press twoo mini metros 1000 times repped for 3 weeks with 30 second intervals.
run fast as possible for 800 miles.
6million situps in 2 mimutes.
then punch with dumb bells, but swap bells for local church bells, punch for two weeks solid.
row across atlantic pulling the British water ski team.

Still no nearer to Allah but big muscles and a psyched out ego.

Alternatively......

walk in park at medioca speed whilst contemplating Qur'an and teaching my kids something interesting, whoa, loads nearer to Allah and I feel fit and healthy, Maash'Allah
