Can a 30 year old man marry an 18 year old woman?

wouldn't the age gap be too much of an issue? not to mention the girl has to go through college.....just curious....
 
Yes, there are no prohibitions against it. It all depends on how mature she is and how compatible they are. It may not work for some but may work for others.

Yes, as long as both parties (you and the Muslim girl) agree and want to marry each other. And can live with eachothers.

Back in the day, the age gap has been 10 years, between married couples.

If I felt that a 12 year older man would be the man in my life, I would not doubt. It is all about personality.
 
But what about the other way round; 30 years old woman marry 18 years old man?

Hmm, hmm, ..... it's normal if 30 year old man marry 18 year old girl. But if 18 year old boy marry 30 year old woman, people usually would wonder. Different than if 28 year old man marry 40 year old woman. It's because position of husband as the family leader and money maker.
 
Why not, they can marry. It's quite common in our Muslim society and the fact is that girls don't mind the age difference in case the man is of high status
