I remember playing these type of games in Elementary school with my tutor. They were soooo much fun!

zak your sharp, my dad gave me the same puzzle when i was a kid only it involved 3 kings and their 3 wives.

if you left a king alone with another kings wife he would run away with her!

i never figured it out, but it was so simple when he showed me how

Why do they call it a "test of IQ" and give it at a job interview then?

That is argument from authority. How is it exactly a test of IQ? It does nothing to discover new realities. The test only explores that if someone can solve a given problem in a time sensitive manner.

I personally never got such crap on my interviews. Puzzles are good for a child's brain only as it is developing it teaches some problem solving skills. Thinking and critical reasoning encompasses more than just problem solving skills.

They do give these kinds of problems at interviews to see how good of a problem solver you are.

Here's one that was given at the interview, can you solve it?

You come to a stop in your two door car and You see the ideal dream girl of your life that you will marry in a heartbeat and you see your best friend. It's pour like crazy out there, only two people can fit in a car, who do you give the ride to?

pfft, I can't do it :(

At first seemed bit hard, then just analyze it and it seems easy. It requires some steps, no few step quick solution.
