I think it means fish with skin on it....... I have seen no basis for why it'd be haram, so I don't think it is.
For the record, I love butterfly garlic prawn (the big one).
Just make sure it's de-veined so you don't eat its poop sack.

All fish are halal, unless of course they eat other fish, then it becomes haram because we are not allowed to eat carnivores. So, that would mean a shark for instance, although their may be some disagreement among the madhabs.
Anyway, we all know the basic fish will be halal so just stick to that. I myself enjoy salmon. Can't go wrong with that.
