Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

As Muslims, we often focus on our spiritual well-being, but Islam also teaches us to take care of our physical health. Our bodies are an amanah (trust) from Allah (SWT), and we are responsible for looking after them.

Simple habits can make a significant difference:

  • Eat a balanced and wholesome diet.
  • Drink enough clean water throughout the day.
  • Stay physically active whenever possible.
  • Get sufficient rest and sleep.
  • Maintain good hygiene, as cleanliness is an important part of our faith.
  • Visit a healthcare professional when needed instead of ignoring symptoms.
  • Encourage regular health check-ups for ourselves and our family members.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"Your body has a right over you."
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

This beautiful reminder teaches us that taking care of our health is not separate from our deen it is part of fulfilling our responsibilities.
