I had worked as a Broadcast Engineer for a large US bible college, for many years, who operated an extensive radio network with various AM and FM stations, plus a satellite uplink network, for the distribution of their programming.

Later, I was also a Church Organist in Germany. Alas, in both cases, the level of corruption, which the various board members had pulled off, also with their hands in the till, turned me so thoroughly off, I left. After that, I didn't want anything to do with religion at all, for a long, long time.

Being that one of my adult daughters is a Sunni convert, I had my eye on Islam for a long time. But her overly strict ways, did not appeal to me.

But I indeed viewed the Trinity as polytheistic, and was led to Islam on my own. After all, I have read the Bible cover to cover enough times to know that Jesus — bless him — never called himself god. The Trinity system indeed sounded more like an invention of Greek mythology, which had occurred after his time, or?

I now feel whole heartedly, that Allah is the one true, eternal God, creator and Master of the universe. And that Muhammad — glory to him — is the Messenger or Allah. I believe that the Qur'an is real, and was relayed by the Archangel Gabriel.

If I haven't declared it to enough people yet, I hereby post:

Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasul Allah.

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

Due to physical restraints, due to my age, and health, plus living in a small town, and not having a car, I have not yet poked into a Mosque. I have to pray sitting, and bowing facing Mekka, as I could never twist myself into such a kneeling position, it most likely, would set off a pinched nerve in my back or legs, and it would take three men to get me back up again. I also need my cane most of the time, especially for long standing or going.
Thereby, I do not wish to make a pulic spectacle of myself.

So its better keeping my faith private for now. It also does not 'over joy' my wife, or my other daughter either. My daughter, the Sunni, disagrees with my desire for Sufi type Dhikr and Nasheed music with instruments and female vocals. After all, praise and worship music was a big part of my life, and I had studied it as well. So, I shall use my talents to the praise and worship of Allah instead.

As Salaamu Alaykum!
