couple of questions

I live in Canada.

1. I eat non halal food when I'm out (not at home), is it a very bad thing? most fastfood places here are non halal.

2. what's with no dating in islam? how can you possibly marry someone you barely know anything about? This feels more likes "fixed" love then natural love.

3. lower your gaze and not interact with the opposite sex? not even handskakes or hugs? why? in the west, if you don't make eye contact with the person (your female classmate, customer, teacher) it is considered you are rude and lack confidence.

4. not being able to listen to music or movies? why not? we're not allowed to listen or watch anything we like/enjoy?
