Rasulullah*صلي الله عليه و سلم *said,*

“May Allah shower mercy on the person who performs four Rakaats before the Asr Salaah.”*(Abu Dawud)

“When a morsel of food falls from your hand, then clean it off and eat it, but do not leave it for Shaytaan.”(Muslim)

Rasulullaah (صلي الله عليه و سلم) said,

“If you trust in Allaah as you ought to trust in Him, He will sustain you just as He sustains the birds, who leave with empty bellies in the morning, but return in the evenings with their bellies full.”(ترمذي)

Wednesday يوم الأربعاء

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) reported:

The Prophet (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ) said,

"He who removes from a believer one of his difficulties of this world, Allah will remove one of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection;

---and he who finds relief for a hard-pressed person, Allah will make things easy for him on the Day of Resurrection;

---he who covers up (the faults and sins) of a Muslim,
Allah will cover up (his faults and sins) in this world and in the Hereafter.

---Allah supports His slave as long as the slave is supportive of his brother;

---and he who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah makes that path easy, leading to Jannah for him;

---the people who assemble in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah, learning it and teaching, there descends upon them the tranquillity, and mercy covers them, the angels flock around them, and Allah mentions them in the presence of those near Him;

---and he who lags behind in doing good deeds, his noble lineage will not make him go ahead."[Muslim]

Thursday يوم الخميس

Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه reported:

The Messenger of Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم said :

---“Do not hate each other; do not envy each other;

---do not turn away from each other, but rather be servants of Allah as brothers.

---It is not lawful for a Muslim to break ties with his brother for more than three days.”

[Sahih Muslim]

Friday يَوْمُ الجُمُعَةُ

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d رضي الله عنه reports that they (the Sahabah رضي الله عنهم ) used to eat after the Jumumah Salaah and use to have an afternoon nap. (Bukhari 5403)

It is Sunnah to eat after the Jummuah Salaah and to have an afternoon nap
The afternoon nap is called Qayloola.

Today being the day of Friday let us recite surah kahf and excessive durood on Nabee صلي الله عليه و سلم

Sayyiduna Thaubaan (رضي الله عنه) reports that

Rasulullah (صلي الله عليه و سلم) said:

“The best assets a man can possess is

---a tongue engaged in the Zikr of Allah,

---a heart that is filled with gratitude

---and a believing spouse who assists him with regards to his Imaan.” (Tirmidhi)

Hazrat Jaabir (رضي الله عنه) reports that

Rasulullah (صلي الله عليه و سلم) said:

---When evening approaches (i.e. the time before maghrib till the night sets in), keep your children indoors and do not allow them to leave the home, for the Shayaateen roam about at that time.

---When a portion of the night passes, then you may leave them,

---and take the name of Allah Ta’ala when closing your door,

---and take the name of Allah Ta’ala when putting off your lantern,

---and take the name of Allah Ta’ala when tying your waterbag,

---and take the name of Allah Ta’ala when covering your utensils (and ensure to cover your utensils) even if it means placing something above it (i.e. placing something across it on the top).”(bukhari)

Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrates :

Rasulullaah (صلي الله عليه و سلم) said,

“Do not laugh too much because excessive laughter deadens the heart.”

[Tirmidhi]

Rasulullaah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) also said,

“I swear by the Being Who controls my life that if you knew what I know, you would laugh less and cry more.”

[Bukhaari]

Anas ( (رضي الله عنه) said,

“I served Rasulullah ( صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) for ten years. During that time,

--- he never once said to me as much as ‘Oof’ if I did something wrong.

--- He never asked me, if I had failed to do something, ‘Why did you not do it?,’

--- and he never said to me, if I had done something wrong, ‘Why did you do it?” (Al-Bukhari)

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) reports that

Rasulullaah (صلي الله عليه و سلم) once took hold of his hand and said,

---- “Abstain from Haraam, and you will become the greatest worshipper.

----Be content with the distribution of Allaah and you will become the wealthiest of people.

----Be good to your neighbours and you will attain the most perfect Imaan.

----Like for others what you like for yourself and you will become a true Muslim.

----Do not laugh excessively because excessive laughter kills the heart.”(ترمذي)

Thursday يوم الخميس

Rasulullah (صلي الله عليه و سلم) has stated regarding*Sayyidul Istighfaar:*

“If anyone recites it during the day with firm faith and dies before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise and if anyone recites it at night with firm faith and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.”*(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith #: 6306)

Sayyidul istighfaar is :



اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّيْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي، فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Transliteration: Allahumma Anta Rabbee La Ilaha Illa Ant. Khalaqtanee wa Ana Abduka wa Ana Ala Ahdika wa Wa’dika Masta Ta’tu. Aboo’u Laka Bi Ni’matika Alayya Wa’Aboo’u Laka Bi Zambee Faghfirlee Fa’innahu La Yaghfiruz Zunooba Illa Anta.

Translation: O Allah! You are my Cherisher. There is no deity except You. You have created me and I am Your servant. As far as possible, I abide by my solemn promise and covenant to You. I seek Your protection against the consequences of my wrongdoings. I fully acknowledge the grace You have bestowed upon me and I confess my faults. So pardon me my sins as none but You can pardon sins.

The Messenger of Allah *(صلي الله عليه و سلم) has said:

‘whosoever recites ten duroods upon me in*the morning and ten duroods in the evening, my intercession will definitely*reach him on Day of Judgement".(Tabarani)

Abû Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported that
The Messenger of Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم said, "Anyone who says

لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك و له الحمد و هو علي كل شيئ قدير
La ilaha illallah wahdahu lasharika lahu lahulmulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadeer.

a hundred times a day, has the same reward as if he had freed ten slaves, and a hundred good deeds are written for him and a hundred bad deeds are effaced from him and he has protection from Shaytân on that day until evening. No one will do anything better than he does except a man who does it more than he did."


He said,
Whoever says
سبحان الله و بحمده
(Subhânallâhi Wa Bihamdihî)
a hundred times a day will have his sins fall away, even if they are like the froth of the sea."
(Bukhari and Muslim)

Hadhrat Baraa bin Aazib (رضي الله عنه) reports that

Rasulullah صلي الله عليه و سلم advised him:

“When you are retiring to bed, then perform wudhu as you perform wudhu for salaah.”* (٢٤٧بخاري)

From amongst the sunnah of sleeping, is to sleep in the state of wudhu.

The Messenger of Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم passed by Sa’d رضي الله عنه while he was performing ablution.

The Prophet صلي الله عليه و سلم said,

“What is this extravagance?”

Sa’d said,

“Is there extravagance with water in ablution?”

The Prophet صلي الله عليه و سلم said,

“Yes, even if you were on the banks of a flowing river.”(٤٢٥ابن ماجه )

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه ) reports that

Rasulullah (صلي الله عليه و سلم) said:

“Supplicate to Allah Ta’ala with conviction and certainty of your Duaa being answered,

--- and remember that Allah Ta’ala does not answer the Duaa made from a heart that is inattentive and unmindful.”(ترمذي ٣٤٧٩)

Anas رضي الله عنه narrates :

Rasulullaah (صلي الله عليه و سلم) said,

“Everything has a heart and the heart of the Qur'aan is Surah Yaaseen. Whoever recites Surah Yaaseen will receive the reward of reciting the entire Qur'aan ten times.”(ترمذي ٢٨٨٧)
