That once a person was begging in the time of Rasulullah (صلي الله عليه وسلم), however the people desisted from giving him anything.

And whoever initiates an evil practice and others follow him, he will receive his sin and the sins of all those who follow him, without their sins being decreased in the least.”(احمد و حاكم)

*Friday يوم الجمعة*

Hadhrat Abu Lubaabah _(رضي الله عنه)_ reports that

Rasulullah _(صلي الله عليه وسلم)_ said:

“The day of Jumuah is sayyidul Ayaam _(i.e. the leader of all days),_ and the greatest day _(from the days of the week)_ in the sight of Allah Ta’ala. It is more virtuous than the day of Eid ul Adha and the day of Eid ul Fitr in the sight of Allah Ta’ala.

_(Among the unique occurrences associated with the day of Jumuah) *There are five special events that are exclusive to the day of Jumuah.*_

*(1)* On this day Allah Ta’ala created Adam _(Alaihis Salaam)._

*(2)* Allah Ta’ala sent Adam _(Alaihis Salaam)_ and Hawwa _(Alaihas Salaam)_ to the Earth on this day.

*(3)* On this day Adam _(Alaihis Salaam)_ passed away _(and was returned to his original abode)._

*(4)* In the day of Jumuah there is a special moment _(of acceptance)_ wherein whatever duaa the servant makes to Allah Ta’ala, his duaa will be answered, as long as he does not ask for anything haraam.

*(5)* On this day Qiyaamat will take place. There is no angel that is close to Allah Ta’ala, nor any sky or earth, nor any mountain or sea, except that it fears the day of Jumuah _(due to Qiyaamat taking place on this day)._ *Ibn Majah*

Today being the day of Friday let us recite excessive durood and surah Kahf.

_Hadhrat Ali رضي الله عنه relates that_

_Nabi صلّى الله عليه و سلّم said:_

“When it is the fifteenth night of Sha-baan then remain busy in Iebaadah during the night and fast for
the day, for indeed Allaah(special mercy) descends to the nether (lower) sky at the
setting of the sun and He proclaims:

Is there anyone seeking my
forgiveness so that I may pardon him;

is there anyone who seeks
livelihood from me, so I may sustain him;

is there anyone who is in
distress that I may bless him with relief and safety;

is there someone
in this condition; is there someone in that state?

And so this continues until the break of dawn”. *(Ibn Maajah, also Mieshkaat)*

_As for the Night of Mid-Sha’ban, the*Tabi’een*in Shām, like Khalid ibn Ma’dan, Makhul, Luqman ibn ‘Amir, and others, used to honor this night and strive hard in their worship in it. It is from them that the people learned the virtue of this night and learned to honor it.”_
*– Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali,*Lata’if al-Ma’arif*

_“As for the Night of Mid-Sha’ban, hadiths and early reports have been transmitted about its virtue, and it has been transmitted that a group of the*salaf*(righteous predecessors) used to do extra prayers in it.”_
*– Ibn Taymiyya,*Majmu’ al-Fatawa*

_Abu Ghateef (رحمة الله عليه ) says:_

I was with Abdullah ibn Umar (رضي الله عنه). When the azaan was called for Zuhr, he performed wudhu and thereafter performed his salaah. When the azaan was called for Asr, he repeated his wudhu. I enquired from him the reason for repeating his wudhu.

_He replied that Nabi (صلي الله عليه وسلم) used to say:_

‘The one who despite having wudhu, performs a fresh wudhu (i.e. for salaah), Allah Ta’ala writes for him ten good deeds.’ *(ابو داؤد)*

*Note:**_Performing a new wudhu will be permissible provided after the first wudhu one performed salaah or any such ibaadat which being in a state of wudhu is a pre-requisite for that ibaadat (e.g. sajdah tilaawat, touching the Qur’an etc.) or a considerable amount of time has passed (or the place changed) from the time he made the first wudhu._ *(Fataawa Mahmoodiya 8/124, Shaami 1/119, Haashiya Tahtaawi pg. 71)*
