Salam aleykum Islam community, hope I am not disturbing anyone by asking this question.

We muslim believes there is no place for randomnness or luck in Islam.

There is things we can control as we have free-will during life.

However there is many parameters like place of birth or even our date of birth that we couldn't choose by ourselves. As Allah choose these things for us, is there also specific reasons behind that ?

I could've been an indian or be born during the Roma Empire for exemple. Why now ? May Allah forgive me but there is some time I find the concept of randomness (as atheists people claim) not being stupid for this case.

What do you personally think regarding this ?

Of course there is randomness and luck Islaam. We just define it differently.

Throwing a certain number with one dice is a chance of 1/6th. the number that comes on top is random. If you were hoping to get that number then you were lucky.
So far no difference.
The key part here is that Allah already knew which number would come on top and whether you would win or not...simply because Allah exists out of times reach. There is no past present and future for Allah for He can see it all in an instant. That however does not change the fact that you were the one that threw the dice in a certain move with a certain speed on a certain surface to get that particular number...together with the laws of nature of course.

however, things like where your birthplace is, time, who your parents are, whether indian, chinese or african...that is a different issue, and not based on randomness. It is a part of Allahs plan. Allah has assured us that no one will have to carry a burden heavier than one can handle...which means that He has placed us deliberately there where we could handle the situation to pass our test. Whether we do or do not pass the test depends on our own actions...

in conclusion:
Allah has a reason why he placed you in a certain time on a certain place...but it is way beyond the level of our understanding that reason.
