Dirt Under Nail, Wudu Valid?

Hi, i cut my nails and saw a bit of dirt under and slightly coming out of a nail, it was black in colour, i'm not exactly sure whether it was dirt or what.
I was going to clean it, but then i forgot, i went and did Wudu and prayed. After the prayer i remembered that dirt and it was still there.
Was my Wudu and Salah valid?.
