Alhamdullillah, I have a beard and I would like to share my views on it.
Can anyone verify this
I heard it during Da'wah in mosque)
1.That with every beard hair, there is an angel
2.There is a Hadith(I can't quote as I heard this when I was 7 or 8 years in my school in Saudi Arabia that there was a man who had few beard hair and he once shaved them off. When he appeared near Prophet Muhammad PBUH, the Prophet turned his head away from that man.
3.Being inspired by that hadith, I knew that one day I will keep a beard when I start having a proper beard and ALhumdulillah some months back, I felt that I am doing the wrong thing everytime I shave. That hadith used to appear in my mind as a flashback that if I were in the times of Prophet PBUH, he would have turned his face from me. I pray to ALLAH SWT that now I never shave my beard.
4. Some weeks ago when Dr. Zakir Naik was in Birgmingham in the Islamic Conference, there was a small talk on "If the label shows the intent, wear it."
He was mentioning that normally one gets a lot of sawab from ALLAH SWT for supporting the beard but those people who have thin hair or dont get a thick beard(i hope you get what i am saying----fuzzy beard) will get twice as much more sawab than those who get a thick beard. I am also referring to brother Zulkiflim and Dahir that you are supporting the bearding to please ALLAH SWT so grow it regardless how it looks.
The other reason why I strongly believe a muslim should support a beard is to reveal our identity(trimmed moustaches and a beard) as Muslims. Having good deeds along with the identity makes a great combination!
