When Ali ibn al-Hussain died, people who washed him saw black spots on his back and asked, "What's this?" The reply came:

I have become practically inert..

Most of the poor people i have worked with in the past have deeper issues..

Far from perfect given time.

Even sometimes when things happen right infront of me I am left with a huge sense of being set up..

I can't really explain it to you.. but very slow to react.

Might have to tell you about what I should have done.

I suppose this is not what I want to be but as time goes on i cant really believe this is my character.

You cant live in am imaginary world forever.. because everybody has to eat.

I'm extremely confused by the concept at present..

Apart from the zakat i have a hard time being part of things.

I keep waiting to catch a break so things will be easier but i suppose that is the irony of life.

Keep it simple.

Reality is that we have become indifferent to poor people. You never know one asking or looking for help is really in need or not but I , even, knowing him imposter try to help if asks for the sake of God.
Sometimes, one really deserves and we neglect because of predecided notion of them.

I've bitter experiences in this regard.

Reported incident in OP is a different way of helping which we can't carry out.
