Do you actively set goals for your self and pursue them?

No. I have taught myself to be only concerned with that is going to happen towards end of the day.

For me and a lot of others, setting tasks/goals helps to keep things in order.

I agree with Ammar. Setting goals works well for me and in many different areas of life - fitness, faith, general order in my life etc, etc.

I guess it probably doesn't work for everybody, but it does for me.
Reaching my goals gives me a sense of achievement and motivates me to try harder and do better next time.
 
It is good to have goals. Just don't lose sight of what what the ultimate goal is. (if thou catcheth my drift)
