The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best supplication for seeking forgiveness is (Syed-ul-Istighfar)".

If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it and dies on the same day before the evening, they will be from the people of Paradise and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it and dies before the morning they will be from the people of Paradise.

Become pure right now, like the day you were born (sinless).

Always repent as soon as you can. Allah's Mercy is so great that if you were to turn to Him and seek forgiveness at any point before the Day for Resurrection, He would forgive you.

Just a gentle reminder: What has Allah azza wajal said about this in the Quran? Allah Says in Surah Az-Zumar Verse 53: "Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

Abu Huraira (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (SAW) as saying: He who seeks repentance (from the Lord) before the rising of the sun from the west (before the Day of Resurrection), Allah turns to him with Mercy. (Sahih Muslim 2703, Book 48, Hadith 55)

Allah Says in Surah Az-Zumar Verse 53: "Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And those who, when they have committed fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse) or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins; and none can forgive sins but Allah and do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know.

For such, the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath (Paradise), wherein they shall abide forever. How excellent is this reward for the doers (who do righteous deeds according to Allah’s orders).” [Quran Surah 3 Verse 135-136]

Indeed Allah loves those who are constantly repentant. [Quran 2 Verse 222]

O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide to Your covenant and promise [to honour it] as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I committed, I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sins except You.
