everybody,

I have been bugged by my ....name for so long. I want to know if my name is jewish and Islamic. Ive dun research but cant find anything other than a few paragraphs from a particular book (jewish author).

Im confused!

Well, its USUALLY spelt as: rehana.

But I hate the name, so I alter the spelling to make me feel.....gud!

Oh wel...I dont have any background. No wives of the Prophets had that name....nothing in the Quraan is mentioned about a woman called Raiyhana.

Fatma is not my real name but I prefer not to use my birth name as it is a Christian name. My name Fatma was chosen for me and as you know it is a variation of the Prophet's (PBUH) daughter Fatima. I have been told that it means radiating face but I am not quite sure considering whenever I see it ... it always says the name of the Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) daughter.
