Does our parents need parenting?

Assalam-o-allaikum,

These days it seems parents are too worried about bringing up kids.and why is that they themselves don't know how to keep checks and balances or they are too busy in making money or other stuff? What you say?
 
Asalam Alaikum

Our parents have learnt from their past generations about how to bring children up, how to discipline etc. Parents at the end of the day bring children up in a manner which they think is best, I don't think any parent would, 'go and do other stuff, make money' and not care about their child[ren] first. As children become older, they are less dependant on parents , but if parents have right boundaries set up, children will always go back to parents and ask for help etc. We should love and respect our parents as they have bought us up to be good Muslims, sometimes they may need support, we should happily give it.
May Allah reward all our parents Jannah, InshAllah.
