Does the Quran get the history of iron wrong?

34:10-11 mentions how King David makes armor out of iron:

[h=2]And We certainly gave David from Us bounty. [We said], "O mountains, repeat [Our] praises with him, and the birds [as well]." And We made pliable for him iron,[/h][h=2][Commanding him], "Make full coats of mail and calculate [precisely] the links, and work [all of you] righteousness. Indeed I, of what you do, am Seeing."[/h]
Yet we know there is no way soft iron would have existed during David's times; the frist examples we have of people using iron for armor come 500 years after David's death.
 
The Quran is never wrong. Where did you hear that iron armor was 500 years after David pbuh?
 
Salam. Quran reveals the truth about historical events which people do not know to show it is not from people. Can we disprove what Quran mentions if David first used the iron armor but it was widely used 500 years later?
 
Salaam, If you have read the quran, stories of the prophets, you would know certain prophets and messengers of Allah were given gifts, like hazrat Musa alaihi Salaam, Hazrat Isa Alaihi Salaam and our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallala Hu Alaihi Wasalam. Hazrat Dawud Alaihi salaam was also given a gift. In Dawud Alaihi Salaams hands with the will of Allah swt the iron would become soft, So it was easy for Hazrat Dawud to mold iron to the way he wanted. As for your question its doubts whispered by shaytan. The Quran is the speech of Allah swt, Allah swt speech is the truth and nothing but the truth, no ifs no buts.
