I've heard these stories before, but if it works it could be a good idea. Outside of terrorism, a secret special forces group trying to sneak into a U.S. port wouldn't stand a chance against an angry dolphin with a camera. :)

Yeah I do love dolphins. I love great white sharks and whales too.. they're fascinating.
The dolphins have better eye sights than us therefore the dolphins and sealions will pick up things that our eyes and technology can't. I'm sure the dolphin loves doing this, to them it would probably be like a game. They love to play games and they get treats in return :)

They should actually try to train dolphins to fend off sharks from getting too close to shore in certain high risk areas. Something dolphins do naturally in some cases.
 
Wouldn't it be cool if they strapped Rocket Propelled Grenade launchers to their fins?

Come on, you gotta admit the ensuing animal rights litigation would be worth it! :p
