Dua for acquiring good memory

Du’a for acquiring good memory

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate

Read the following 10 times a day. It is a very effective dua for acquiring good memory and not to suffer forgetfulness:

First recite verse 79 Sura Al-Anbiya Juz 17

Fa fahhamnaha Sulayman wakullan aataynahu hukmaw wa ilma.Wa sakkharna ma’a Dawuda wa’l-jibala yusabbihna wattayr wakunna fa’ileen.

Then read the following:

Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyumu Ya Rabba Musa waHarun waNuh waIbrahim waIsa waMuhammadin Sallallahu alayhi wasallam Akrimni bi jawdatil hifdhi wasur’ati fahhmi, Warzuqni hikmata wama’rifatal ilmi wa thabat- dhihni wa’l aqli wa’l-hilmi bi haqqi sayyidina Muhmmadin Sallallahu alayhi wasallam Ya Rabbal Alamin.

O’ Living, O’ One Through Whom All Subsists, O’ Lord of Musa, Harun, Nuh, Ibrahim, and Muhammad, honour me with good memory and understanding, Bestow me with wisdom, true knowledge and a firm intellect and mind with the blessing of Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace).

One of the most importing things is to avoid sins, and if you do commit a sin, one should perform two rak’ats of Tawba and ask forgiveness from Allah and the same each time.

And Allah Knows Best

من عمل عملا ليس عليه أمرنا فهو رد

So no one alive has the right to put Duas & fix numbers of times to be said ..

this is what is named bed'a...

لا عبادة بدون دليل

whenever you worship allah in a new way without dalil this is what is named bed'aa

instead of this dau we can just ask allah in our simple weak words & inshaAllah this will work

becasue allah said:

أمن يجيب المضطر إذا دعاه

Allah knows best

On the subject of good memory, it depends on the person. In terms of hifdh of the qur'an - i did in 9 months flat alhamdulillah

i say two tihngs for good memory and knowledge:

rabbish rahli swadri wa yasirli amri wahlul ukdatam milli sani yafkahu kawli

yes, they are two very good du'as. I also use them. I think they work better than when you repeat an ayah of the qur'an over and over again. I dont see this as du'a. The reason for this is that if you are constantly repeating an ayah of the qur'an, your mind will not be on the du'a but on how many more times you have to repeat the ayah. This will lead to just saying the ayah without real conviction in the heart.

plus the prophet's companions didn't use those Ayat to facilitate the qur'an memorizatin .

People!!! ask Allah direct without any copremize
 
I think you mean compromise ........and also there are surahs which you read on thursday night followed by a lenghty dua look in the back of a south african quraan ..I used to do this regularly helped loads!!
