Amr ibn Luhay was the first who started the custom of honoring the dead Saints with a statue just to get the support of those disciples who were under such Saints which in a century
turned from paying respect into directly worshipping them ,
by the Satan who inculcates doubts that those saints were intermediaries that were helping the disciples to Bargain their issues & needs with Allah, Their Supreme God. (as in Politics to approach a King, PM, President through his intermediaries, ministers, PA,s)
Since the Term '' Allah '' was being used by All those semetic Religions as Elah in Aramaic (mixture of Arabic & Hebrew spoken by Jesus) and so was Eloh by the Jews which is explained by a Jew himself here

and Allah in Arabic etymology is the supreme God with no gender and cant be used to multiple Gods as the english word God can be MISused to mean multiple Gods or male or female Gods.
So Nothing susbtitutes to '' Allah '' is the idealogy & concept of pagan Arabs EVEN BEFORE the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) (
proof is Prophet's father's name was Abdullah or Slave of Allah and so were many names of Jews like Abdullah ibn Salul , an enemy of Islam at Medina) which is proved here in the Year of the elephant since they all stopped worshiping idols temporarily, its said for about 7 years after this great miraculous incident

The descendants of the people who left Egypt with Moses were Y-W-H's set-apart people. Jews knew this was the special name of their God. These people- during Mohammed's time- still worshipped the same God as their forefathers. On the other hand, the polytheists in that area were worshipping a lot of different gods including the one who was/is referred to as Allah.
Did the Jews of Mohammed's day in that locality (before meeting Mohammed) call the one god they knew Moses had worshipped many generations before, by the revealed name Y-W-H? Why did Mohammed not call the God who reigned over Moses, Joshua, Samson, and King David by the name that all these patriarchs knew him by if He was the same God who parted the Red Sea? Was it because Jews already were calling the God of their nation, Allah? I'm interested in evidence, if some of you want to chime in.
