Embedding Flash in webpages

Assalamu Alaykum

When i make something in flash, and then take it into dreamweaver...and try running it locally...the flash dosnt load...

Any idea as to how to do it anyone.

Does it have to be in .swf, because right now its in .fla ?

I think it has to be SWF, since all the flash files I've embedded were SWF and not FLA. Also, if it doesn't work on DreamWeaver, there's plenty of HTML embedding codes out there.
