islam is the true religion ist simple, the media are covering up the truth and tell lies. and most people get theyre understanding from the media, such as woman oppresses, sucide bomber and so on

Are you trying to say there is not a single Muslim who isn't true to his/her beliefs? Some Muslims do oppress women and murder amongst other things. What is the media supposed to say? 'All Muslims are saints'? Wouldn't that be a lovely world to live in!

Unfortunately, the state of Muslims isn't like that and nowhere does it say that Muslims are automatic representatives of Islam for one can profess to be a lot of things yet be very little in reality. The media picks up on issues of interest and if Muslims are going around doing crazy things in the name of their faith then you can expect the noted causes for their irrational behaviour to also be scrutinised.

I will go as far as saying the media has helped in dispelling some worrying misconceptions people held and continue to hold of Islam. People go on about how supposedly ****ing the media is of Islam yet they are the very same people certain sections of the media give airtime to, to vent their frustrations.

In some countries there're laws against racial or religous discrimination. Please try to understand their laws if you want to study in their universities. If you don't like their laws, then don't go there. There're plenty of good universities in Muslim countries. If western girls have to study in our universities, then we wouldn't let them wear any dresses that don't comply with our laws.

This shows that there's nothing wrong with the beard. There's something wrong with the extremists and terrorists who have brought this reputation to Muslims and the beards.
You got it. There's nothing wrong with the coverings. There's something with the people who use the name of Islam to opress women.
There's something known as mental slavery. That's the limiting or restricting of the thinking of a specific section of the society to carry out only some specific jobs. Some people beat themselves up and bleed themselves happily. Nobody forces them physically, they're brainwashed like this. This is known as mental slavery.
It's not just the hijab, girls are also not allowed to wear bikni in the class.

All wise parents send their intellegent children to study useful subjects. Only the hopeless ones are sent to madrisas. (Try to understand the reason behind it - It's a simple commonsense question). If a child himself drops out from proper education and wants to dedicate himself to Islamiyat, then the parents start worrying about his/her mental health. They think that he/she is either mentally sick or been made (senti)mental through some newly growing virus. Anyone of these conditions is enough for the parents to loose hope in their child.
There're two different reason for this.
1. Some terrorists kill others in the name of Islam.

Here I agree with you. They name freedom fighters as terrorists. This is also because of the terrorists who mix up the things. They promote fundamentalism and try to hijack the freedom movement of Palestine.
They teach us that there's a solution to every problem or dispute in Islam, but they never resolved their disputes with Islam. They only increase the problems or disputes by making sentimental and hateful speaches with reference to Islam.

When Islam is made the reason to to do a crime, only then people think bad about Islam. Look who uses Islam to motivate extremists who kill, non-Muslims, Muslims, or sometimes themselves.
Others Judge you not from what you read, but from what you do.

But what it boils down to, in my eyes atleast, is: What are we going to do about it?
Allah (SWT) says that He does not improve the state of a nation until they change what is within them.
We, as Muslims, are lacking in far too many ways. We must better ourselves first, InshaAllah.

You very rightly said that we must better ourselves. Right now we don't study Quran for the purpose of improving our lifestyle. We don't study it directly. We believe whatever non-working or idle people interpret it for us. We always repeat after the false and illogical statements/remarks of the empty brain people as you must have read in the opening message of this thread. We always say low or negative about other people whereas we always say high about those who teach us such lessons.
We should always learn good things from others, ignore their bad things. They don't come to us as a package. It's our choice what to learn and what not to learn from others. With knowledge of the practical experiences of our people as well others we can improve ourselves even better than others. Otherwise we may continue talking like stupid people if we blindly repeat like illiterates this kind of empty remarks. This will do no good to us.
