Exceptional Recitations

Salam.
Ill post some recitations of Sheikh Ali bin Abdurrahman al-Hudhaify soon. These were when he was really young and they are breathtaking.

I remember being a student of his in Madinah

I couldn't agree with you any more. Thats the first ever Ali Jabir recitation i listened to and it was soooooooooo:coolious: :coolious: :coolious: :coolious: :coolious: . Anyone who hasn't previously listened to Ali Jabir, try the link above out and listen carefully towards the end, its soooooooo niiiice:brother:

Shaikh ali jabir is like a true legend. Man I don't know if i've said it before but i just think he's better than sudais and shuraim in my opinion.

A legend indeed, rahimahullah. I also share your opinion, but as-Shuraim and as-Sudais are themselves quite legendary. Salaam.

Shaykh mohammed al mohaisany has excellent recitation. his surah al araf and surah fath are great amongst others. listen to surah fath and how he ends it. it is emotional mashallah. i make dua that allah gives us the tawfiq to recite like him and to understand the ayahs that is being rexcited so that we benefit from it INShallah.

Yahya Hawwa, when he is reading surat Maryam espically the below verse:

يَا زَكَرِيَّا إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَى لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا

and

قَالَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْئًا

I posted this in the thread about his passing away, may Allaah be pleased with him, yet I thought I would also share it in the thread about exceptional recitations :) since many people favour Ali Jabir's recitations and they were mentioned earlier.

The surahs that I 've heard and can recommend are:

- Yusuf (uses high notes for quite a bit),
- 'Ankaboot
- Baqarah (has slightly different tune),
- Noor
