Explanation of Sharh us-Sunnah of Al-Barbahaari, - Shaykh Allaamah Ahmad An-Najmee

This great explanation of Imaam Al-Barbahaari's book, starts with one point, "Know that Islaam is the Sunnah, and the Sunnah is Islaam . . ."

Part 1

The second part of this explanation deals with, and goes into detail, on the issue of the ruler and the necessity of pledging allegiance to him.

Part 2a

A continuation from the previous part. The Shaykh brings statements from the Salaf and the Companions, showing that rebelling against the ruler, and the like, is ahlul-bid'ah.

Part 2b

In this part the Shaykh covers the subject of the Companions and their excellence, using proof from the Quraan and authentic Sunnah. The Shaykh also gives the example of those who rejected the companions and the result of this evil action.

Part 3

In this part the noble Shaykh explains the statement of 'Umar Ibn al-Khattaab regarding those not having an excuse for being astray while thinking they are upon guidance.

Part 4

"Know that the religion is what came from Allaah, the Blessed the Most High. It is not something left to the intellect or opinions of men."

Part 5
