Facebook its like a trojan for your private life lool

Police searching criminal by facebook with profil their see their face etc... i was see that on documentary

& i think too than facebook is a really distraction & loss of time

Facebook is addicting to most people but I just have some advice that don't be too addicted to it that you will forfeit doing the 5 obligatory prayers. And be mindful of Allah(swt). Indeed, Allah(swt) sees and hears all and is with the patient.

:sl:

Positive sides of FB:
-Real people with pics, real name and real personal info --> less trolling, more reliable
- Connect to relatives abroad
- See what's going on in everyone's life - e.g getting married, moving abroad etc.
- search and check people's profiles online --> know their likes etc.

Negative sides of FB:
- Fitnah
- Jealousy and evil eye
- Waste of time

:salamext:

Facebook can be used for Dawah as well, :ia:

Everything you use depends on your niyyah and your actions - you can turn something into the best thing or the worst thing for your deen, depending on how you use it.

I removed Facebook because although it is filled with your friends and family, no one actually talks to you lol and just post pictures of things no one cares about.

ヽ ( ꒪д꒪ )ノ

Plus! It's very invasive. So invasive and if you don't put your picture your family criticizes you and says why? And if you don't put your real name, the same. So it's best to avoid it lol.

Facebook isn't all bad, granted, but for me it works out not having an account at all. I am pretty much absent from most forms of social media, Alhamdulillah my life feels less 'cluttered' that way. My cousins and friends are always on my case saying I should make an account - no way!

I know that if I ever had kids, I'd rather that if they were into such things, they joined a well-moderated forum like this, rather than the unmoderated world of social media - in fact, they wouldn't even have the 'choice' of using social media, lol.

The scary thing about Facebook is that it collects all sorts of private information from you, and it is sold to third parties (∗ᵕ̴᷄◡ᵕ̴᷅∗)՞

The good thing happened to me some years ago with the FB. They kicked me out from there and claimed I am not a real person. After that I didn´t try to join again.

Not a real person? Hmm... who knows? :nervous:

Facebook helps you connect and share with the people online. And it helps u disconnect with the ppl sitting right next to you.

Social media is made by programmers. They have a purpose. To keep you hooked.

They are masters of neuroscience. Many have studied it. They will structure social media and other apps in such a way so that every time you use their service it triggers dopamine release.

This will make you feel good. You will want to keep using the platform. As a result, as a poster above has correctly pointed out, you will connect with people you do not even know while neglecting the ones who have Islamic rights over you.

Cyber world lets you to isolate from the real world and gives a drug like happiness and when you turn back to the real world you start to feel depressed. Social media increases depression.

Where Facebook has provided us many information, then the Facebook has far removed us from our hearts. Today we were so busy on Facebook to forget our bloody relationships.

Facebook exists for three reasons:

1. To addict and distract you from real life
2. To mine your information - The sites you visit and map (along with google) all of your online activity and accounts, addresses, bank info, everything down to your keystrokes
3. To influence the way you think and indoctrinate you into their corporate way of life, ads ads and more ads, filtering politics to influence your leanings and so forth

Facebook is pure evil, the work of Shaitan. :Emoji19:

Do not blame Facebook, but blame people who use it not in wise way.
