There's other sites as well like hi5 and myspace and bebo and many more not listed there. They all are socializing sites basically and all waste of time. There's also muslim versions as well like muslimspace and mymuslilmpage.com

I have facebook to keep in touch with my immediate community members only, and then i have myspace, hi5 and mymuslimpage, but i don't use hi5 anymore,too much fitnah there.
 
I think all of the US presidential candidates have their own facebook..... a very weird era of campaigns...:D

Malaysian politicians also have their own facebook too, but most of them are oppositions. Maybe because the oppositions have no chances to appear on national tvs and radios.... facebook is a very good place for them to express their ideas etc. And from my observations 90% of MAlaysian facebooks support the oppositions.

Maybe, it's the place we could find news/ideas from the other side. (Our tvs and radios are not neutral and pro-government)...

Thus, I really appreciate facebook.
 
I also have a facebook account, same as on Mashable. But since me and my wife have all our pics, Messenger, etc on Yahoo, I transfer all to Yahoo Mash now. It's still on Beta, and you can have only access if someone invite you
 
yep I have one.

If you decide to open an account on there,make sure to edit your privacy settings...or else,you'll be receiving an email every time someone posts something on your page.It's bound to drive you insane after a while(trust me,lol).
 
i so had to post in this thread.. i am addicted to facebook..!!!! its the worse thing for a student... when u r studying and are trying to find anything to do but study, u will find something to do on facebook.. and before u know it, its been an hour or 2..

There's so many interesting groups on there too. Islamic ones :) but horrible ones slandering our beautiful religion :cry:. Sum1 sed they hate the applications well, u dnt have to add each one.. infact, i always refuse the request from my friends but if i want it, i come across it later through the mini-feed or browsing anyway so key is "to avoid the headache/confusion, click IGNORE now" hehe. But, add the "Causes" application. thats got to be the bestest ideaaa..woohooo

It is also the coolest thing for catching up with friends, family whom u rarely see. I found friends on there whom i knew from my childhoood (although, that wasnt long ago :D) coz we had each others' email address or we were just in each other's address book but not on msn.. its cool.. now am friends with my old college teachers tooo.. n nooo, am not a teacher's pet.. its good to keep contacts ;) hehe..

^ It depends on what way you use it.

E.g. hi5 doesn't help you with Islam if you just meet people online and chat, but discussion groups about Islam are there.

i dunt like any of that stuff... i only like google...that way...i can search on islam... i kno..its so interesting...i found a site that has like alot of prophets and there stories...so cool... well :w:
