Can anyone think of tips to offer to help someone wake up for fajr salat?
For me, it takes me a very long time to calm my mind to rest (much less sleep), and since my schedule is so late due to my husband's work, by the time I settle down it's an hour or two til fajr while he's long in sleep. By then, I want to at least attempt to get to sleep and sometimes I manage it and and sometimes I don't and I stay awake til after fajr. However if I do get to sleep, I am a very heavy sleeper. I have an athan app on my phone and I also set an alarm ten minutes prior and 9/10 times I don't hear it , I'm not sure if my husband ignores it or if he doesn't hear it either but I've asked him to wake me up.
As a result we both, for the most part, miss fair prayer. This is something I need to change, hubs is trying to change his shift at work so that our schedule is more regular and less like night owls. In the meantime, I would love any tips. I make dua and niyah every night, and inshallah that is beneficial to me.
Jazakallah khayr bros and sis for any sharing or comments
