So my parents are beginning to dislike me due to my "Excessive recitation of the Quran", and that I don't keep balance. They believe I'm not doing any extra studies to benefit me and that I recite enough.

I mean.. my point is: That's EXTRA studies, studies I don't need to do but recommended, if I have all my schoolwork/homework done, what's the need into doing more extra studies.

I mean... I think they are right in this situation, are they? I got all my schoolwork/homework done, stayed about 8 hours at school away from Islam, and I want to rejoice and recite Quran, what's so wrong about that?

There's no such thing as too much recitation of the Qur'aan. When you get put in the Qabr, what will benefit you? The extra studies, or your recitation of the Qur'aan?

Ask them that.

They'll simply say that we need to keep in moderation.

You are keeping in moderation. You've done your required studies and homework. You're getting an education. You are acquiring enough of the Dunyaa as it is.
