How do you increase the size and strenght of your leg especially calves and hamstrings (please give me home and gym option cuz might get to go the gym but not so often) and if you have any exercises it would be much appreciated

I guess, the 'extra' training I was doing was burning up more calories than I was consuming. This is waaaaay before the diets were developed scientifically for the exercises programs we have today. This was during the times when the British football player would be eating steaks 2 days before the game to have the reserve energy for them....apparently...

When they said supplements and stuff, it means (I suppose) the required vitamins, minerals, protein, carbs and the other good stuff we need to effectively keep up with the program. All this I didn't know at that time.. what a waste!

I believe the Hadith is referring to the blessing that can be found in a food consumed by Muslims. The same food eaten by a Non-Muslim would not nourish him/her as much.

The example for this can be found when a clan chief was captured when he was going for pilgrimage. was captured and bought to Madinah, he was kept and restrained for 3 days and during those 3 days Mohamamd(SAW) would get Sahabas to feed him. After the 3 days passed Mohammad(SAW) released him without ransom. He immediately went and did Whudhu and came back and said the Shahadah. The Sahabas fed him again but he had very little which surprised the Sahabas. Mohammad(SAW) explained to the Sahabas that because now he is Muslim he doesn't need to eat as much to be nourished anymore.

The story is quite famous but I can't remember the name of the Sahaba that was caught :embarrass Although the later part isn't probably known as much.

Kind of reminds me of an article I read sometime back about a Japanese scientist's discovery on how different water can be and the difference it can make by the recitation of 'Bismillah' or other Quranic verses.

Here's an extract I've found.

This scientist also found out that, the Muslims say BISMILLAH before eating/drinking. He says that after saying BISMILLAH on regular water, there are some strange changes happened in the quality of regular water. That make it best water. He also found out that if some one recites the Quran on regular water, it gets the ability for the treatment of different diseases.

Masaru Emoto said: “My Muslim colleague offered to recite Quranic verses over the water. He brought a tape-recorder and played some Quranic verses, and we got the most perfectly-shaped crystals. Then he played the 99 names of Allah (The Almighty). Each name produced a uniquely-shaped crystal. When Dr. Emoto completed these experiments, which lasted 15 years, he published a five-volume book called “Messages from Water“. He wrote: “I have proven that water, that peculiar liquid, is capable of thinking, fathoming, feeling, getting excited, and expressing itself.”

Perhaps explains why? Same things, food and drink, but different effects. Allahualim.

I also remember hearing something like that (my friend told me) but he explained it in a different way so it might have been another study
JazakaAllahu khair may Allah (swt) reward all of you for your efforts

Is it right that non-believers have seven intestines?. No!. Then why Rasulullah (saw) said that non-believers have seven intestines?.

It because intestines in this hadith is just a supposition. This hadith cannot be interpreted literally. This hadith is not about eating in literal meaning, but about greed.

What Rasulullah (saw) meant was the non-believers never satisfied in chasing the wordly pleasure, like someone who never feel full in eating because he had seven intestines.

:salam: :)

We all have seven intestines:
The seven organs in the Digestive System are the small intestine, large intestine, pancreas, liver, stomach, esophagus, and the gallbladder.

But I think it's not because of greed they have to eat more to be full but because it lacks blessings. The story I mentioned also mentions how a Sahaba eat a lot to become full while he was a disbeliever but later after saying the Shahada he had very little and became full. The Sahabah simply could not eat anymore because he was full after having little.

:wasalamex

One day Rasulullah (saw) invited a non-Muslim and served with goat's milk in normal portion. After drank the goat's milk that non-Muslim asked for more. Rasulullah (saw) gave him goat's milk again. But that non-Muslim ask more goat's milk until finally he drank seven portion.

Next day, that non-Muslim came again, saying shahada and embraced Islam. Rasulullah served him with goat's milk again. He drank it but refused to drink again when Rasulullah (saw) gave him the second portion. Then Rasulullah said "A believer eats in one intestine and a non-believer eats in seven intestines".

This the asbab al-wurud (cause of revelation) of this hadith. Rasulullah (saw) said this to describe the different behaviour between Muslim who feel grateful when he get what he need and non-Muslim who never satisfied with the 'want'.

One intestine and seven intestines in this hadith is just a supposition because biologically there is no difference between a Muslim's body and a non-Muslim's body.

Actually Bro Ardi you're right on this; It is about greed:
http://seekershub.org/ans-blog/2012...t-the-disbeliever-eating-in-seven-intestines/

I always understood the Sahaba had less after the Shahada because he became full/satiated by having less due to the blessing in the food. I was probably wrong OR we could both be right, i'll ask around lol
Op, I didn't realize you have corrected your post.

I don't know why I thought the quoted post above was written by brother Strivingfordeen. Maybe because I just woke up from sleep?. It's subh time in my place.
