This is good advice.
But even the excuse that you go for education is not very valid. You can obtain a decent enough education online from any nonmuslim country and you will not be exposed to haram at the school in that nonmuslim country.

I think really the only benefit we can take from going from muslim to nonmuslim country is to do trade and sell them halal goods with the hope they will soften their hearts and receive dawah from us. Or to help the suffering there by doing some work for the needy (if we are a doctor or some other professional).

In these two cases it seems halal to me just thinking rationally and empathetically.

Going there to a nonmuslim country (all of them in choas now even if they have more money and luxuries in some places) which is full of impoverished common people who are stuck in ignorance should not be an option for a Muslim who fears Allah. Why take from the lower class of people (ie. those who do not know Islam yet!) We as Muslims should be helping them and doing it from a safe halal place so that they can soften their hearts to Islam and become Muslims.

The exact issue here is that sometimes Muslims leave their countries to take up school abroad for the sole purpose of "seeing the world" with no intention to bring something beneficial to those impoverished ignorant people. That makes us all as Muslims and Muslimahs look like bad people....its very sad but we can't deny it happens a lot.

There are some Muslims and Muslimahs who do dawah and help the people though. May Allah give them Jannah for that and reward them abundantly. Ameen.
