Frenchman who attacked two Muslims at a hotel

A Melbourne-based Frenchman has faced a Queensland court after allegedly assaulting two Muslim tourists at a hotel.

Franky Guise, 37, allegedly spat in the face of a 17-year-old man and grabbed the breast of a 25-year-old woman at the Q1 hotel in Surfers Paradise on Monday - following Friday's Islamic State attacks in Paris which have claimed about 130 lives.

It's also alleged that Guise yelled "we're going to bomb you all" at the pair.

Guise faced Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with making threats and common assault.

Despite a prosecution objection Guise was granted bail and will re-appear in court on Thursday.
