Greetings from Canada!

Hi everyone,

I'm a Canadian university student interested in Islam. I was a very devout Catholic, but my History class on Islamic civ exposed me to Muslim culture, which I found fascinating! I spent much of my semester studying with a group of young Muslim men and women my age, but we ended up discussing theology the whole time haha.

School's finished for summer. I've taken this time to really read the Bible. I was horrified when I read Mark 10:18, where Jesus (PBUH) denied his divinity. It felt like my whole faith had been ripped from me! The more I studied, the more I understood Jesus (PBUH) as a prophet.

So now I'm here, hoping to find answers! I just finished reading Michael Cook's A Very Short Introduction to the Koran; I am currently reading Marshall G. S. Hodgson's The Venture of Islam, and Tarif Khalidi's English translation of The Qur'an.

Pardon my long winded introduction. = )

Well what are you waiting for?! Canada's doors are wide open and we've got lots of room. I'm in Vancouver, so we're lucky if we get snow at all during winter. Thank you for the welcome.
