Hello y'all,

In my desire to learn more about how people around the world live their Islam, I visit some threads like this one. To my great dismay, I come across too many words that I don't understand. People here take them as the norm when they're not. I know that a lot here talk urdu or other adjacent dialects but I should tell you that a lot more don't. Out of politeness and correctness, would you like to explain the key words you use? No, I don't want to google them. I want to learn them with my bro's and sisters' own words.

Okay, what's Gujarati? Is it a language or a dialect? Where is it spoken?

To our dear moderators, once again, I think there's a bit of lack of fairness. In a thread dedicated to arabic poetry, I used THREE arabic words. You immediately notified me -in a very solemn way- to avoid transliteration. Rules are here to be applied on everyone.

Thank you in advance.

Gujrati is spoken by people in India as far as I'm aware and also some African people seem to speak it? I'm not sure about that. And there are two types, Sutri and Baruchi.

I'm neither, but I studied it at GCSE.

WassalamuAlaykum
