When he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: Come to prayer, one should make a response: There is no might and no power except with Allah. When he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: Come to salvation, one should respond: There is no might and no power except with Allah, and when he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, then make a response: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. When he (the Mu'adhdhin) says: There is no god but Allah, and he who makes a re- sponse from the heart: There is no god but Allah, he will enter Paradise.

Malik :: Book 21 : Hadith 21.14.28
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Allah laughs at two men. One of them kills the other, but each of them will enter the Garden: one fights in the way of Allah and is killed, then Allah turns to the killer, so he fights (in the way of Allah) and also becomes a martyr."

Dawud :: Book 25 : Hadith 3639
Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:

I used to write everything which I heard from the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him). I intended (by it) to memorise it. The Quraysh prohibited me saying: Do you write everything that you hear from him while the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) is a human being: he speaks in anger and pleasure? So I stopped writing, and mentioned it to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him). He signalled with his finger to him mouth and said: Write, by Him in Whose hand my soul lies, only right comes out from it.

Narrated Anas:

Whenever the Prophet spoke a sentence (said a thing), he used to repeat it thrice so that the people could understand it properly from him and whenever he asked permission to enter, (he knocked the door) thrice with greeting.

Muslim :: Book 42 : Hadith 7067
'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-As reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: How would you be,0 people. when Persia and Rome would be conquered for you? 'Abd at-Rahman b Auf said: We would say as Allah has commanded us and we would express our gratitude to Allah Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Nothing else besides it? You would (in fact) vie with one another, then you would feel jealous. then your relations would be estranged and then you will bear enmity against one another. or something to the same effect. Then you would go to the poor emigrants and would make some the masters of the others.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "There is a Sadaqa to be given for every joint of the human body; and for every day on which the sun rises there is a reward of a Sadaqa (i.e. charitable gift) for the one who establishes justice among people."

the funeral procession till he offers the funeral prayer for it, will get a

replied, "Like two huge mountains."

Dawud :: Book 6 : Hadith 1379
Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud:

The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said to us: Seek it (laylat al-Qadr) on the seventeenth night of Ramadan, and on the twenty first night, and on the twenty-third night. He then kept silence.

On the authority of Al-Numan bin Basheer, who said : I heared the messenger of Allah say :

"That which is lawful is plain and that which is unlawful is plain and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which not many people know. Thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor, but he who falls into doubtful matters falls into that which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Truly every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allah's sanctuary is His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh which, if it be whole, all the body is whole and which, if it be diseased, all of it is diseased. Truly it is the heart."

narrated by Bukhari and Muslim

Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz) 19th Sha'aban 1430 (10th August 2009)

Narrated Anas (Radi-Allahu 'anhum):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "When a human being is
laid in his grave and his companions return and he even hears their foot
steps, two angels come to him and make him sit and ask him: What did you
use to say about this man, Muhammad? He will say: I testify that he is
Allah's slave and His Apostle. Then it will be said to him, 'Look at your
place in the Hell-Fire. Allah has given you a place in Paradise instead of
it.' " The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) added, "The dead person
will see both his places. But a non-believer or a hypocrite will say to the
angels, 'I do not know, but I used to say what the people used to say! It
will be said to him, 'Neither did you know nor did you take the guidance
(by reciting the Quran).' Then he will be hit with an iron hammer between
his two ears, and he will cry and that cry will be heard by whatever
approaches him except human beings and jinns."

"And if Allah hates someone He calls Jibreel and says: I hate so-and-so and you hate him. Jibreel hates him and calls the angels in Heaven and says: Allah hates so-and-so, so you all hate him. They all hate him, and his hatred is made upon earth and he becomes hated."

Anas reported that a person was charged with fornication with the slavegirl of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to 'Ali: Go and strike his neck. 'Ali came to him and he found him in a well making his body cool. 'Ali said to him: Come out, and as he took hold of his hand and brought him out, he found that his sexual organ had been cut. Hadrat 'Ali refrained from striking his neck. He came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and said: Allah's Messenger, he has not even the sexual organ with him.
