11th Rajab 1437 (18th April 2016)


Narrated Al-Bara' (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):


I heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) delivering a Khutba
saying, "The first thing to be done on this day (first day of 'Id ul Adha)
is to pray; and after returning from the prayer we slaughter our sacrifices
(in the name of Allah) and whoever does so, he acted according to our Sunna
(traditions)."

Narrated Abu Mas'ud RA: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "If somebody recited the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqara at night, that will be sufficient for him." (Bukhari - Vol. 6, Book 61, Hadith 530)
 
Narrated Abu Huraira :ra::

The Prophet (:saws:) said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should not hurt his neighbor and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should serve his guest generously and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should speak what is good or keep silent."

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):


On the Day of 'Id the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to return
(after offering the 'Id prayer) through a way different from that by which
he went.

Hadith Of The Day

It is narrated on the authority of Amirul Mu'minin, Abu Hafs 'Umar bin al-Khattab (ra) who said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated." [Bukhari &Muslim]
 
Abu Hurairah (raa) narrated that : the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Do not precede the month of Ramadan by fasting a day or two before it, unless it is the case of a man who normally performs some fast, then let him fast it.”
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ لاَ تَقَدَّمُوا شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ بِصِيَامٍ قَبْلَهُ بِيَوْمٍ أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلٌ كَانَ يَصُومُ صَوْمًا فَلْيَصُمْهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

Narrated Anas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Whenever a strong wind blew, anxiety appeared on the face of the Prophet
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) (fearing that wind might be a sign of
Allah's wrath).

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):


The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The Hour (Last Day) will
not be established until (religious) knowledge will be taken away (by the
death of religious learned men), earthquakes will be very frequent, time
will pass quickly, afflictions will appear, murders will increase and money
will overflow amongst you." (See Hadith No. 85 Vol 1).

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“When the end of time draws near,
hardly any believer will see a
false dream, and the ones who
see the truest dreams will be
the ones who are truest in
speech. And the dream of
the believer is one of the
forty-six parts of prophecy.’”

Narrated Anas bin Malik RA: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever prays like us and faces our Qibla and eats our slaughtered animals is a Muslim and is under Allah's and His Apostle's protection. So do not betray Allah by betraying those who are in His protection." (Bukhari - Vol. 1, Book 8, Hadith 386)

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Keys of the unseen
knowledge are five which nobody knows but Allah: nobody knows what will
happen tomorrow; nobody knows what is in the womb; nobody knows what he
will gain tomorrow; nobody knows at what place he will die; and nobody
knows when it will rain."

Narrated Ibn Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) once stayed for nineteen days
and prayed shortened prayers. So when we travelled (and stayed) for
nineteen days, we used to shorten the prayer but if we travelled (and
stayed) for a longer period we used to offer the full prayer.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):


The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A woman should not travel
for more than three days except with a Dhi-Mahram (i.e. a male with whom
she cannot marry at all, e.g. her brother, father, grandfather, etc.) or
her own husband.)"

Narrated `Abbas bin Tamim RA: that his uncle said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked: If a person feels something during his prayer; should one interrupt his prayer?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: No! You should not give it up unless you hear a sound or smell something." Narrated Ibn Abi Hafsa: Az-Zuhri said, "There is no need of repeating ablution unless you detect a smell or hear a sound." (Bukhari - Vol. 3, Book 34, Hadith 272)

Narrated Salim's father (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):


The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to offer the Maghrib and
Isha' prayers together whenever he was in a hurry on a journey.


Narrated Ibn Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi
Wa Sallam) used to offer the Zuhr and 'Asr prayers together on journeys,
and also used to offer the Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers together.


Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu
'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to offer the Maghrib and the 'Isha' prayers
together on journeys.

Narrated Zaid bin Arqam RA: In the lifetime of the Prophet (peace be upon him) we used to speak while praying, and one of us would tell his needs to his companions, till the verse, 'Guard strictly your prayers (2.238) was revealed. After that we were ordered to remain silent while praying. (Bukhari - Vol. 2, Book 22, Hadith 292)

20th Rajab 1437 (27th April 2016)

Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Whenever the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) started the journey
before noon, he used to delay the Zuhr prayer till the time for the 'Asr
prayer and then he would dismount and pray them together; and whenever the
sun declined before he started the journey he used to offer the Zuhr prayer
and then ride (for the journey).

Abd Allah b. ‘Umar RA reported the Prophet (peace be upon him) as saying: When one of you is invited for a wedding feast, he must attend it. (Dawoud - Book 27, Hadith 3727)
