'Abdullah ibn 'Ata' (RA) said, "This ayat which is in the Qur'an, 'O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bringer of good news and a warner' (33:45) is found in the Torah in a similar form."

Narrated Samurah (RA): If any one of you performs ablution (on Friday) that is all right; and if any of you takes a bath, that is better.

Narrated Al-Aswad (RA): I asked `Aisha (RA) "How is the night prayer of the Prophet?" She replied, "He used to sleep early at night, and get up in its last part to pray, and then return to his bed. When the Mu'adh-dhin pronounced the Adhan, he would get up. If he was in need of a bath he would take it; otherwise he would perform ablution and then go out (for the prayer)."

Narrated Abu Bakr (ra): The Prophet (ﷺ) said. "(The division of time has turned to its original form which was current when Allah created the Heavens and the Earths. The year is of twelve months, out of which four months are sacred: Three are in succession Dhul-Qa' da, Dhul-Hijjah and Muharram, and (the fourth is) Rajab of (the tribe of) Mudar which comes between Jumadi-ath-Thaniyah and Shaban."

Usamah bin Zaid (RA) said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (SAW), I do not see you fasting any month as much as Shaban.' He said: 'That is a month to which people do not pay much attention, between Rajab and Ramadan. It is a month in which the deeds are taken up to the Lord of the worlds, and I like that my deeds be taken up when I am fasting."'

Jabir b. Abd Allah (RA) reported the Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: Gather your children when darkness spreads, or in the evening (according to Musaddad), for the jinn are abroad and seize them.

Abu Ad-Dardh (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Nothing is placed on the Scale that is heavier than good character. Indeed the person with good character will have attained the rank of the person of fasting and prayer."

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said:

وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَاۤ اَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُوْنَ الْاُ وْلٰى بَصَآئِرَ لِلنَّا سِ وَهُدًى وَّرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ
"And We gave Moses the Scripture, after We had destroyed the former generations, as enlightenment for the people and guidance and mercy that they might be reminded."
(QS. Al-Qasas 28: Verse 43)

Narrated Malik ibn Nadlah (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Hands are of three types: Allah's Hand is the upper one; the bestower's hand is the one near it; the beggar's hand is the lower one. So bestow what is surplus, and do not submit yourself to the demand of your soul.

Yahya (RA) related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar-Rahman (RA) that he heard A'isha (RA), the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, "I used to have to make up days from Ramadan and not be able to do them until Shaban came."

Abdullah bin Salam (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "O people, exchange greetings of peace (i.e., say: As-Salamu 'Alaikum to one another), feed people, strengthen the ties of kinship, and be in prayer when others are asleep, you will enter Jannah in peace."

Narrated `Aisha (RA): Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) used to offer eleven rak`at and that was his prayer. He used to prolong the prostration to such an extent that one could recite fifty verses (of the Qur'an) before he would lift his head. He used to pray two rak`at (Sunnah) before the Fajr prayer and then used to lie down on his right side till the call-maker came and informed him about the prayer.

Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to me, "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Jannah?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" Thereupon he (SAW) said, "(Recite) 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no change of a condition nor power except by Allah)."

It was narrated that Simak (RA) said: “I entered upon ‘Ikrimah on the day concerning which there was doubt as to whether it was Ramadan or Shaban, and he was eating bread, vegetables and milk. He said: ‘Come and eat.’ I said: ‘I am fasting.’ He adjured me by Allah to break my fast. I said Subhan-Allah twice. When I saw that he was insisting, I went forward and said: ‘Give me what you have.’ He said: ‘I heard Ibn ‘Abbas say: The Messenger of Allah said: ‘Fast when you see it (the crescent) and stop fasting when you see it, and if clouds or darkness prevent you from seeing it, then complete the number of days of Shaban, and do not fast ahead of the month, and do not join Ramadan to a day of Shaban.'"

Narrated `Aisha (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and receive good news because one's good deeds will not make him enter Paradise." They asked, "Even you, O Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him)?" He said, "Even I, unless and until Allah bestows His pardon and Mercy on me."

Narrated Aisha (RA), Ummul Mu'minin: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to count the days in Sha'ban in a manner he did not count any other month; then he fasted when he sighted the new moon of Ramadan; but if the weather was cloudy he counted thirty days and then fasted.

It was narrated from 'Aishah (RA) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "When the time of menstruation comes, stop praying, and when it goes, perform Ghusl."
